00:00South Yorkshire Police have agreed to correct the official record over the
00:04deaths of two teenagers in the Hillsborough disaster. Parents Jenny and
00:09Trevor Hicks have long campaigned after losing daughters Sarah aged 19 and
00:15Victoria aged 15 in the 1989 tragedy. Chief Constable Lauren Pulteney met the
00:21family and confirmed the force will provide a statement in open court.
00:25Pulteney acknowledged the pain caused and said she had instructed legal teams to
00:30support the Hicks's application. Jenny Hicks said the family would wait to see
00:35it happen in court before celebrating. She also said and we are pleased that
00:40South Yorkshire Police appears to recognise that this needs to be put right.
