00:45It's a bad experience and it's not good for the culture, it's not good for the image of
00:50men.
00:51As I said, we're all parents, we've got kids, we've got daughters.
00:56So, coming to this kind of situation where women have been killed each and every time
01:01is very disturbing.
01:03For example, any time you turn off the radio or the TV and see that a woman has been killed,
01:08a total of eight is very, very heartbreaking and it does not give a good picture of men.
01:16Some locals have sought strength in community actions, like running together in honor of the victims.
01:24We are running as a community and as a whole to stand together for Elizabeth and for the other
01:31women who have very tragically lost their lives in the last couple of weeks in our city.
01:35And the reason that we're running together as a community, because this is not limited to any one
01:39person and it's a reality that we all face. When we were gathered here today, I asked some
01:44people to raise their hands if they'd ever felt unsafe on a run or if they'd ever changed their
01:48route because they thought that somebody might be following them and almost everybody's hands went up.
01:53A police investigation into the killings is ongoing but no concrete results have emerged so far.
