Four masked men armed with hammers and sharp weapons robbed a goldsmith shop inside a supermarket in Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani, Wednesday (Sept 16) evening, making off with jewellery worth between RM700,000 and RM1 million.

Kuala Muda police chief ACP Hanyan Ramlan said the same shop was robbed in 2024.

Investigations are ongoing under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code.
