Armed robbers struck a jewellery store at a shopping centre in Menglembu and carted away about RM390,000 worth of valuables.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said a report was lodged at about 1.25pm on Friday (May 9).

00:00Armed robbers struck a jewellery store at a shopping centre in Menglembu on Friday,
00:04carting away nearly 400,000 ringgit worth of loot.
00:08EPO OCPD Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin,
00:12Abang Ahmad said a report was lodged at about 1.25pm on the incident.
00:18He said the suspects believed to be locals entered the premises with a pistol and machete.
00:22He said they then robbed necklaces and earrings before fleeing the scene in a white sedan.
00:27Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
00:32Police said they are investigating the case under Section 395 or 397 of the Penal Code,
00:38which deals with armed gang robbery.
00:41They said they are tracking down the suspects
00:43and urge those with information to come forward to help with police investigation.
