A man in his 30s has been remanded for seven days after allegedly threatening his neighbour with what appeared to be a firearm in Bandar Laguna Merbok, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

00:06Sungai Pitani, has been remanded for seven days until December 14th to assist investigations.
00:13The remand order was issued by Magistrate Mohammed Shaiful Akmal Mohammed Razi at the
00:19Sungai Pitani court at about 9.20 a.m. on Monday. Police received a report from a woman
00:25who claimed her neighbor threatened her with an object resembling a firearm at 8.45 a.m. on Sunday.
00:31Kuala Muda OCPD Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan said a search of the suspect led to the
00:37discovery of a gun-like object and a quantity of drugs. Officers are now determining the weapon's
00:43ownership and whether it is licensed. The case is being investigated under Section 8 of the Firearms,
00:49Increased Penalties Act 1971 and Section 8, Subsection A of the Arms Act 1960.
