00:23back foot against Philly in week one we get I get there's a couple different samples headwinds
00:29pushing against what they did in week number one each of their week ones through three years has
00:35been kind of like that if you remember Tampa Bay and Jaden's rookie year it wasn't particularly
00:38splendid he ran 19 times for goodness sakes and I've looked at year one and year three as their
00:43own entities just because it was his first game in a new offense too I mean it was a mess

00:48the Bucs he ran around a million times this to me was major progress from that because he stayed in
00:52the pocket and eventually figured it out as a passer sure there are certainly nuance and individual
00:57differences that you pointed out correctly I guess my point in general is it's not as if they came
01:01out high flying they didn't do Ben Johnson and the Bears in week one they haven't had that in their
01:06in their bag they eventually get to that point where their offense is pretty damn good or it's happened
01:11certainly in year one so my hope is that you kind of get hit the ground running a bit this
01:14week where
01:15now you got week one behind you now we can kind of see the real thing that's number one but

01:19two the Eagles secondary their pressure everything about them really really good that defense is going to
01:23stop a lot of people and bother a lot of people I don't think Dallas's defense right now holds a
01:28candle to Philadelphia's they've got some pieces that I like and they've certainly improved in certain
01:33areas but they can be had and they better be I think this if you're going to win this game

01:38plus point type endeavor they're running the same defense as Philly with a guy that came over after
01:43working in Philly under Fangio and they don't run it nearly as well you know what I mean you're getting
01:49the c-minus poor man's version of what you just got but they want to do all the stuff the
01:54Eagles do
01:54but you don't have the three corner pro bowlers you don't have the guys that have been in the system
01:58for years you don't have Zach Vaughn in the middle of the field and oh by the way the Cowboys

02:02defensive starters to injury already in week one now we don't know for sure that those guys are going
02:07to miss but early reports are that it sounds like they might so a defense that played really poorly
02:12down two starters already as well coming off of a year it made a lot of changes but where they

02:17terrible defensively that was kind of the storyline on the Cowboys in 2025 so here's my answer before
02:23we hit the phones the thing I want to see from David Blau is I need more easy answers and

02:29for Jaden Daniels right he takes the basketball out and he dribbles it around and he like shoots
02:35basketball shots to Sam Hartman and you know all these guys before the game he likes to get loose
02:40thinking about basketball and with the basketball in his hands let's talk basketball I need more layups
02:45I need more bunnies I want four and six footers with him coming off little pin downs and things
02:51where he can kind of come off a little screen in the paint and he just gets that easy look

02:55no hands around him David Blau's got to design those those are curls those are stop routes those
03:01are slants those are bubble screens those are running back screens there weren't enough of those
03:06the Eagles seem to cover everything up and took away a lot of the easy stuff from Jaden Daniels
03:10in that game that's what I want to see from Blau you you referred to it similarly as like getting
03:15guys open which I think of is more intermediate down the field and I'm there too I'm with you
03:20but I even line of scrimmage like let's just get him in a rhythm here let's get two or three

03:25out of Kevin Durant's hand where he scores and get our rhythm score going a little bit early in the
03:30game so that's what I need to see from Blau to feel better the Eagles blanket you I can take

03:43and then to Daniels I would say I think he's going to play way better in this game I think

03:47are going to be way better I need him to be a little bit more aggressive pushing the ball down

03:57anticipatory throws I need you know throwing guys open occasionally too my favorite stat as you know
04:02for the quarterback position is CPOE completion percentage over expected so you can take next
04:08gen stats and then they take expected completion percentage based on where the defenders are and
04:13where you're throwing to and the actual completion percentage so on week one Sunday Trevor Lawrence is
04:19an example who had four touchdowns completed 16 percent higher amount of passes than like the league
04:26average thrower would have because he just made some big time throws worst in the sport that day was
04:31Cooper Rush not a surprise was minus 13.7 percent CPOE Jaden Daniels is down in the bottom seven
04:38rate in the NFL at minus 4.8 percent there's got to be a couple of those like big time
04:43throws when
04:43the offense needs it and sometimes those are small window throws so I was fine with his performance I
04:48thought he was conservative for three quarters and kind of just said let me just keep us in the game
04:53let me not make mistakes and when it's time to win I'll go win and he did that essentially yeah

04:57was the point he went nine of 11 for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter so you'll

05:01in a lot of games that way but that's not good enough to beat the good teams I think there's

07:56by the Ravens so is there an urgency is there a desperation there needs to be and when you start

10:18there is something to that like would you rather throw 34 touchdowns and 15 picks or 21 touchdowns
10:26and two picks yeah and the thing i always try to say is interceptions are not all created equal
10:30correct if you're throwing up a flat route and it's intercepted it's a touchdown if you're if it's
10:35third and 17 and you're like terry's down there somewhere yolo maybe it's a pass interference
10:39maybe catch it maybe doesn't it's a punt it's a great point look there's never a good time to
10:44throw a bad interception right right like the how did you not see that guy what are we doing give
10:49him a short field but you also can't just go into the game like my point yesterday was when dan
10:55quinn was kind of celebrating the number of interceptions as this really low total all off season
11:00i'm going in a vacuum that isn't a great stat if it means you made all great decisions that's a
11:05great stat but that also tells me that we're just trying not to throw picks which i don't think is

11:15missing out on what everybody's doing to win the basketball games which is hitting the threes that
