00:00All right, first story, and this only involves you DFS players.
00:03I know there's not tons of you out there, but this was a big story
00:06for anybody involved with DFS because FanDuel went down on Sunday.
00:12And so FanDuel's DFS site going down at 11 a.m. on Sunday,
00:16two hours before kickoff is unbelievable.
00:20I saw people on Twitter talk about the fact that they had already entered
00:24in their lineups, but they couldn't adjust based upon who was playing
00:28and who was not.
00:29So they were stuck with thousands of dollars potentially in play
00:33for lineups they could not edit.
00:36The outage was not fixed until after kickoff of the one o'clock game,
00:41meaning customers could not enter new lineups and perhaps more troublesome.
00:44Nobody could edit lineups already entered into tournaments.
00:49So I saw one guy who I follow on Twitter who said that he generally puts placeholders
00:57and then goes in on Sunday morning after the start and sit and the rosters come out
01:03as who's playing and who's not.
01:04So he puts placeholders for these DFS contests and they're just a bunch of random guys.
01:09They're not real.
01:10So then he goes and builds the lineup after and codes back in at about 12 o'clock
01:14and he sets his lineup for his DFS con.
01:16So he had a bunch of just nonsense lineups.
01:21Oh, what does DFS stand for?
01:23Sorry.
01:24Daily fantasy is what we're talking about.
01:27DFS, daily fantasy site is what DFS stands for.
01:31So you have people who have, who are committing.
01:35And so there's going to be refunds, I guess, coming to people and people are like,
01:39well, I liked my lineup and I would have won this contest.
01:42And like, I'm playing a hundred dollar, you know, best ball tournaments.
01:45And now I'm in this and I would have, my lineup would have scored in the money
01:49and just a lot of nonsense that went on with that.
01:52It's a really difficult thing to have happen.
01:55And I feel for FanDuel because I'm sure it was like all hands on deck to try to fix that,
02:00but to not be able to have that ability is brutal.
02:04Like that is, that is really, really hard from a company standpoint on the biggest,
02:09I mean, one of the biggest days of the year, like the Superbowl in week one,
02:13or like your two big, like massive days in DFS and gambling and prediction markets
02:18and to have your site go down, not, not good.
