00:20Linking my name to this tragic case constantly is a deliberate, evidence-free attempt at character assassination
00:27by a few individuals with clear political and personal motives for almost six years.
00:31The relentless smear campaign run by vested interests without a single thread of evidence and truth is highly unfortunate.
00:38Loud TV debates and media trials do not change the facts.
00:42Let the officials reinvestigate, proceed without malicious distractions and character assassinate for political motives.
00:49Once again, he says, for those of you thinking that such malicious attempts being used politically
00:54will hold us back from fighting for the truth and for fellow citizens, it is a failed strategy.

01:14Devesh, take us through what exactly is happening.
01:17In this entire story, we never knew the context of how these names were really used, right?
01:23Do we have clarity on that?
01:25And how are we to see these comments of some malicious activity, politically motivated, you know, allegations coming in from
01:34Aditya Thakre?
01:40Well, let me break it in three parts.
01:42So, on 8th of June 2020, Deesha Salayan, intervening night, Deesha Salayan dies after falling off a 12th floor apartment
01:54in Malad Malwani area.
01:55Now, this apartment building, this flat was owned by Rohan Rai with whom she was living in.
02:02And that evening, they had a party.
02:04There was a verbal dispute with some of the friends.
02:07Deesha walked into her bedroom, closed the door.
02:11Rohan Rai knocked, but she did not answer.
02:13After some time, security guard informed Rohan Rai that Deesha had fallen off the building and they rushed downstairs.
02:20Now, this is the death of Deesha Salayan that had happened.
02:24Malwani police investigated.
02:25They investigated and found that there was nothing suspicious.
02:29Everyone's statements were recorded.
02:31Witness statements were recorded.
02:33People present in the house, their statements were recorded.
02:36Rohan Rai's statement was recorded.
02:37And it was an accidental death register.
02:40After a few days, Sushant Singh Rajput, with whom, again I point out, for whom Deesha had worked briefly.
02:48She was put in because the celebrity manager handling Sushant Singh Rajput's account had been unwell.
02:57So, the celebrity management company put in Deesha Salayan for a brief period to communicate with Sushant Singh Rajput.
03:04And there was communication, I am quoting records, the CDR records or the call detail records.
03:11The communication between Sushant Singh Rajput and Deesha Salayan had happened only thrice or four times.
03:18Not more than that.
03:19So, it was a brief communication between them.
03:22Though Deesha did work for him, but for a very brief period.
03:26After that, Sushant Singh Rajput died.
03:28Then, after Sushant's death, there was a lot of investigation.
03:32There was suspicion.
03:33There were, again, some online creators.
03:37And there was online mudslinging.
03:40There were memes being created.
03:43There were theories being floated.
03:45And of that, there was one theory that came up.
03:48That Sushant knew about Deesha's death or how she had died.
03:52And then, these allegations had cropped up.
03:55And after that, Sushant Singh Rajput was allegedly again.
04:00Devesh, they are making the entire story timeline very, very clear.
04:04So, on what basis are these names being included in the first place is the big question mark.
04:07But we will continue to keep an eye on the story just to see where it really goes.
