00:00Do you believe they are actually the best team in the country?
00:05After seeing what they've done, they probably have the most impressive win
00:08against Ohio State, number one at home, Jeremiah Smith,
00:11who should not be allowed to play college football because it's just unfair.
00:16But do you actually believe they're the best team in the country?
00:21I don't believe they're the best team in the country right now, no.
00:24I believe they deserve the number one overall ranking,
00:26given what they just did, knocking off Ohio State
00:31and doing it in dramatic fashion late.
00:33And be honest with you, to do it with really playing your B game at best,
00:39Arch wasn't great.
00:41I don't think Sark was necessarily great.
00:43Muschamp was really good on the defensive side of the ball in the second half.
00:47The run game kind of picked some things up there and showed to be –
00:50but, I mean, the superstars on this team offensively being Manning
00:55and Cam Coleman and Wingo and a couple of those guys.
00:59Yeah, they didn't.
01:00Like, they weren't a major factor in this game.
01:02And so, I would say Texas won against then number one with their B game.
01:09And so, look, I'm okay with them being ranked number one.
01:12No, I do not.
01:13But you don't think they're the best team.
01:14No, I don't watch –
01:15I haven't watched the University of Texas play and been like,
01:19yeah, this right here is the number one team in America.
01:21Like, I'm more impressed with LSU.
01:23I'm more impressed right now with Georgia.
01:27Have not seen Indiana, so I can't speak to that.
01:31You look at Miami, hadn't played anybody.
01:36You know, you get down below that.
01:37Like, I wasn't overly impressed with Ole Miss against Louisville.
01:40I think they're going to be outmanned by LSU.
01:42But Texas, sure, they've got the best resume, so go ahead and give it to them.
01:48But, no, I'm not blown away with the product that is Longhorn football right now.
01:53They've got to play better than that.
01:54Oh, I agree.
01:55To maintain –
01:56You know what I mean?
01:57Like, that was a miracle.
02:01That was a miracle.
02:03What was it, 23-3 entering the fourth?
02:05Yeah, it was 20-point deficit entering the fourth.
02:08Now, they were on the doorstep.
02:10But, like, you watch that game, and I hate when players or coaches, you know,
02:17pull off the, oh, man, we're the better team.
02:22Even though you lost, like, Kenny Atkinson with the Cavs.
02:25They get swept by the Knicks, and he's like, I don't know, man,
02:30three of the four of those games, man, I think we're the better team.
02:32I hate when you hear that, but Ohio State was the better team the entire time, man.
02:40Like, it just seemed – it just seemed like they made some plays,
02:44and then everything that needed to go right, you know, went right.
02:49And, you know, congratulations to Texas, and sometimes you're a team of destiny,
02:54and maybe you get a second chance to play better.
02:58But they've got to play better than that.
03:00They do.
03:01Well, the two keys to the Longhorns moving forward is Sarkeesian and Manning.
03:08And that's no secret to anybody, obviously.
03:10But you watch that game the night.
03:13And now I know late, like I said, Muschamp picked it up, got some stops,
03:18and did some really good things on the defensive side of the football.
03:21But when you look at how easy it was throughout the game for Julian Sayan
03:27to find his number one – the number one prospect in America,
03:31the number one receiver in America on just easy speed cutout routes,
03:36first down, boom, third and five, boom, got it, easy, easy, boom, boom.
03:39And then you saw how hard it was on the offensive side of the ball
03:43for Arch to just find a completion.
03:45Not just Coleman, but just to find a completion.
03:47Yeah, just find a completion.
03:49Like, that is a problem.
03:52Like, and I've always said it's a Manning deal.
03:56Now, I think it's a Manning fitting into Sarkeesian's offense.
04:01But Sarkeesian's got to mold that thing a little bit to also generate some easy
04:07completions for Manning throughout the game.
04:10I think watching that game of the night – I mean, I remember sitting there
04:12watching like, man, this is a true pro on the Ohio State side of the ball.
04:18I just meant pro offense, like just taking what the defense gives them,
04:22throwing the ball on time, getting it out of the quarterback's hands.
04:24And then you look at the – on the flip side of it, I mean, he's out there.
04:29I mean, just – it just wasn't good.
04:32You know, everything was a struggle.
04:33Everything's hard.
04:34Even the completions that you do find were difficult.
04:36The catches were contested.
04:38And so, I think Sarkeesian and Manning got to get on the same page.
04:43Or maybe even it's not the same page.
04:45Maybe it's just creating some things that are easier completions.
04:48They got to be there.
04:50You got the talent.
04:52You know, everything doesn't have to be so damn hard.
04:54So, if Sark and Manning can get their stuff together,
04:57they pulled a rabbit out of the hat last week against Ohio State.
05:00But I don't know that it's going to last.
05:02Text line coming through, Ron.
05:03Why do you hate on all things Texas and Houston so much?
05:06Will you stop being so soft?
05:10Hell, you watched it.
05:12It was a great win for them.
05:15You weren't sitting there throughout the game thinking, boy, man, they're playing, man.
05:21This is the team that's about to run through the SEC.
05:25No, they still can.
05:27I don't even have anybody.
05:29Did Arch get to 200 yards?
05:34I don't even think Arch got to 200 yards.
05:37Like, it was, they won.
05:40They had to have everything happen and go their way.
05:43195.
05:44Come on, man.
05:46They, I mean, they look.
05:49Ryan Day lost that game more than the Longhorns won it.
05:52Let's all be real and honest here.
05:54Kicker could make a kick.
05:56It's just like, come on, man.
05:57Let's just be honest.
05:58What kind of body language do you have, sir?
06:01Or ma'am?
06:02I just like, like, I mean, come on, man.
06:05It's just the real of it.
06:06They got to, now they come back and they, they've got a hell of a schedule and we'll
06:09see them again and they'll have this number one ranking and, and they deserve it for the,
06:14for the win they got.
06:15Nobody's taking the win away, but it's just, you're looking at it and you're like, boy,
06:18for three quarters plus, like one thing, and I think Clint was kind of hinting towards it.
06:22One thing you can look at it with other teams is like, even in the comeback, everything was
06:30so hard.
06:31I mean, so hard.
06:33A fourth and six that is just getting through a, through the, through the umpire in the
06:39middle and just getting to the, to the, to the receiver.
06:42Everything was so difficult.
06:44Yeah.
06:45And then for most of the game, like, as you said, how in the hell is it that easy?
06:50It's like Justin Jefferson, just roaming by himself or just getting singled up by himself
06:55the whole time.
