00:41she did not declare the value of her new business stocks despite being listed in her statements of
00:46assets, liabilities, and net worth or salen through the years. Ombudsman Records Officer Karen Batu says
00:53Duterte did not provide the acquisition costs of her businesses starting in 2007 when she
00:58entered public office as Vice Mayor of Davao City, as per Duterte Salen. The impeachment court obtained
01:04financial records of at least 20 businesses tied to the Vice President in the past two decades.
01:09Private Prosecutor James Bryan Ibrahim Ali refers to Section 8 of Republic Act 6713 which states that
01:15a public official salen must include every personal property and their acquisition cost as well as other
01:21assets such as stocks. But presiding officer Cheese Escudero points out, the salen form does not have a
01:27specific section to specify business acquisition costs.
01:30So why does this pro forma form not include a line or column for acquisition cost for businesses if that
01:40is
01:41the requirement of the law?

01:48Meantime, Batu testifies, Duterte did not submit her salen covering 2013.

03:34The Justice Department issues a subpoena for Senator Robin Padilla over the obstruction of justice complaints filed against him.
03:41This for his alleged role in the escape of Senator Bato de la Rosa.
03:45Padilla is directed to appear before state prosecutors on September 25 and October 9, 2026 at the DOJ headquarters.
03:52Rappler reached out to Padilla for comment but he had yet to respond as of posting.
03:56In May, the police filed an obstruction of justice complaint against Padilla for allegedly facilitating de la Rosa's escape from
04:03the Senate.
04:04It can be recalled that de la Rosa went into hiding to evade an international criminal court warrant for alleged
04:09crimes against humanity.
04:10He reappeared on May 11 to back Senator Alan Peter Cayetano's bid for the Senate presidency but was chased by
04:16National Bureau of Investigation agents.
04:18He left the premises on May 14, hours after a shooting incident, and has remained out of public view.
04:24Padilla was named the person of interest by the National Bureau of Investigation after video footage showed de la Rosa
04:30hitching a ride with him at around 2.30 a.m. on May 14.

05:20He says that system allowed foreign students and researchers to come to the U.S., leading to groundbreaking research, often
05:25on a vast scale.
