Two women, including a UiTM student undergoing practical training, were found dead at a fish-rearing pond in Pantai Air Tawar in Kuala Besut, Terengganu on Sunday (Sept 13) afternoon in a suspected electrocution incident.

00:01Two women were found dead at a fish-rearing pond in Pantai Ayertawakh, Kuala Besut on
00:06Sunday afternoon in a suspected electrocution incident.
00:11Bursut OCPD Superintendent Mohamed Rozaimi Abrahim said police received a report at
00:17about 1.40pm that the victims were found unconscious at the pond.
00:22Medical personnel pronounced both dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to Bursut
00:27Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
00:30Mohamed Rozaimi said the cause of the incident remained under investigation with the case
00:35classified as sudden death.
00:37Meanwhile, Wan-Muhamed Naim Wan-Hussein, 28, said he found his wife, Rubaii Razali, 27,
00:45and the pond owner Wan-Adila Wan-Awang, 49, unconscious when he arrived at about 1pm to
00:53pick up his wife.
00:54He suspected electrocution after noticing an electrical wire near the area and flowing
01:00water from a pipe.
01:02Rubaii, a second-year UITM biodiversity student and mother of two, had been undergoing practical
01:08training at the pond since August 10 and was due to complete it on October 2.
