Marine Le Pen gave her first major campaign speech in northern France on Sunday, pledging to prioritise French citizens, as well as to tackle the cost-of-living and housing crises.

00:01French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen pledged to put French interests first
00:07at a major campaign speech delivered on Sunday in Northern France,
00:12ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
00:31The far-right national rally figurehead also pledged to tackle France's cost-of-living crisis
00:36and to deliver affordable housing for all.
00:39She gave her speech in Inaubomont, a northern French town in the wider Padukaré department
00:45and part of the constituency she has represented since 2017.
00:50A rural region where people worked hard, paid taxes,
00:54gave everything for France and to build a family, a good.
00:59They have been violated by the mondialization, by the abandonment of public services.
01:06Inaubomont has had a national rally mayor since 2014.
01:10Locals praised the town's management, noting that municipal taxes have been lowered several times.
01:16The city is well maintained. We don't have any taxes that have been increased.

01:22I hope that for once it will be a woman who will be president.

01:32But not all residents living in the wider region are convinced by Le Pen and her political clan's politics.
