The Compromising Church — Revelation 2:12–17 ✝️
In Revelation 2, Jesus delivers a message to the church in Pergamos. He recognizes their faithfulness and their refusal to deny His name, even during persecution and the martyrdom of Antipas.
However, Jesus warns them because some within the church tolerated teachings connected with idolatry, immorality, and spiritual compromise.
Jesus commands them to repent and warns that He will confront false teaching with the sword of His mouth.
Yet He gives a promise to those who overcome: hidden manna and a white stone with a new name known only to the one who receives it.
📖 Scripture Reference: Revelation 2:12–17
