00:05Smart glasses, smart TVs, smart air conditioners, the devices we use at home are getting increasingly intelligent.
00:13This is IFA 2026, one of the world's biggest shows of consumer electronics.
00:19This year's theme is the future is now, and it's easy to see why.
00:29At this five-day show in Berlin, one trend stands out – smart devices working together.
00:35CCL calls this vision an NI-inspired life, where artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, and next-generation displays come together in
00:44one living space.
00:45At the heart of it is CCL's screen universe.
00:48From tiny displays and smart glasses, to paper-like phones and tablets, and giant TVs, screens are becoming smart interfaces,
00:57connecting people, content, and the world around them.
01:01We've also seen in our lives there are large small different screens, such as small to the digital screen, to
01:07our mobile phone, to our mobile device, to our office, to our computer, to the display, to the display, to
01:13the display, to the display, to the display.
01:14These are such a lot of things that we have in the home.
01:15Or even if we have a TV, such a lot of TV, such a lot of TV.
01:19That is even more of the AI technology that we have to develop, to make these displays, to make these
01:24displays and to the people's relations more comfortable and comfortable.
01:26And so we have these devices that we have to be able to have a human-like knowledge.
01:28TCL has partnered with the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, taking place in Berlin at the same time as IFA.
01:36The company says its cinema-scale displays, using SQD mini-LED and micro-LED technology, make watching sport at home
01:45more immersive.
02:07It's not just the screen panels that are getting better, it's the software behind them too.
02:12Google TV has built its AI model, Gemini, into compatible TVs, so viewers can quickly find something to watch just
02:21by describing what they're in the mood for, or adjust settings simply by talking to the screen.
02:26As the models get better, they understand the user much better, they understand the user personalization much better, across the
02:34usage on mobile, on desktop, and now we're bringing that to the TV.
02:37So they deeply know the user, they know the context of the user, and within that they can actually help
02:42respond in a delightful and useful way to the user.
02:46Spending more than two dozen buildings, IFA 2026 covers a huge range of themes, including beauty tech and well-being.
02:56Everything from high-tech healthcare products and wearables, to exoskeletons, supporting physical mobility, and next-generation full-body massage chairs,
03:06offering AI-customized treatments.
03:08It's not substituting human beings, it's just helping us to advance a little bit. Technology is needed, it is developing,
03:18but still we need human contact.
03:20A part of IFA has been turned into a showcase for humanoid robots. International research teams take part in the
03:28RoboCop competition. Building robots that play football, picking up required skills along the way.
03:33Heinrich Melmann from Humboldt University of Berlin compares what's coming to the changes brought by the Internet and smartphones.
03:40When the robots will finally be able to navigate on the street, in our homes, in the factories, this will
03:47be a much bigger social change. I don't know which one, so I don't know.
03:51But I know that we need to involve as many people as possible, so that we can scrutinize the issues
03:57early on and develop ideas that are promising.
04:04From translation screens, breaking down language barriers, to flying cars, promising a new way to move around cities.
04:12IFA 2026 went all-in to live up to its theme, the future is now. Across every hall, manufacturers from
04:1949 countries thought how AI and automation are already making daily life better.
04:27I'm really optimistic to look forward. Why? Because it can make your life so much easier. Also people who need
04:34help, they can get help with robotic features or even with robots.
04:40That means you can enjoy your life in a better way with the technology, not of tomorrow, of today.
