Transkrip
00:00The first step is to recognize the value of what we have and use this strength to help one another.
00:07Your Excellency, Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modiji, distinguished leaders, distinguished delegates, excellencies,
00:18Allow me to once again thank Prime Minister Modi and the Government of India for the excellent organization of this
00:33summit,
00:34the warm hospitality extended to all of us.
00:40Last night's gala dinner was a wonderful reflection of that hospitality.
00:46This morning we come together around four important ideas, resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability.
00:58But these four ideas must serve one purpose, to build economies that are stronger, fairer, and able to deliver prosperity
01:08for our people.
01:11Our resilience must be delivering for our people.
01:16And to deliver for our people we must be able to turn our vulnerabilities into opportunities, our weakness into strength.
01:30Indonesia knows this reality very well.
01:33We are an archaeological nation, seated in the most active ring of fire.
01:42We live daily with rising sea levels, extreme weather, active volcanoes.
01:51Yet, our lands and our seas also hold much of what the future will be built upon.
02:00critical minerals, rare earth, renewable resources for clean technology, and high technology, and the forests that breathe for the world.
02:16The same is true across bricks. Together we hold significant share of the world's critical minerals and energy resources.
02:26We possess everything on which the green century will be built.
02:33That is why, when disaster strikes, we must see this as more than a disaster.
02:41We must see the close connection between climate change resilience and national development.
02:49Indonesia is not alone in facing this challenge.
02:52Other BRICS members and many in the Global South face similar intertwined issues.
02:59But when we address these challenges collectively, we also bring together an enormous pool of resources, productive capacity, technological capabilities,
03:11and markets.
03:13Put them together and BRICS can make a real and vital difference for the world.
03:18Therefore, the first step is to recognize the value of what we have and use these strengths to help one
03:26another.
03:28Together we can turn these interconnected challenges into opportunities for greater investment, for stronger industries, and for more jobs and
03:39better opportunities for our people.
03:41Growth that reaches millions of our people will make our nations more resilient.
03:46It can only be achieved when development is inclusive.
03:51And when combined with innovation, our collective strength can become a powerful force, turning scarcity into capacity.
04:02Indonesia for many years was the biggest importer of grain, of rice, and of maize.
04:10Now we are an exporter and we will be able to increase the support for the entire world.
04:20It can make the green economy an opportunity and strengthen our position in global value chains.
04:27BRICS is already a supply chain.
04:29Our task is to connect and optimize it so these existing strengths can become a source of greater value for
04:37all of us.
04:38Therefore, let me offer something concrete.
04:41Let us industrialize together and let us optimize the resources and capacities that we hold together.
04:50Excellencies, in four years we will reach 2030, the target year of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
04:58We agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals.
05:01We made clear commitments to lift our people out of poverty, to protect our planet, to build stronger institutions.
05:10This commitment stands. We must continue beyond 2030.
05:18The 2030 Agenda was never simply about reaching a deadline.
05:23It was about bringing development countries closer to where they rightfully belong,
05:28to deliver peace and prosperity for our peoples, and to give developing countries a greater role in shaping global order.
05:37It is therefore only logical that the voice of the Global South must be heard,
05:42not only in accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, but also in shaping what comes after it.
05:49BRICS can bring together the voices of the Global South, amplify them as we shape the future.
05:55A future where resilience protects development, where innovation expands opportunity,
06:01where cooperation produces concrete results, and where sustainability means that prosperity must be delivered for today and for future generations.
06:13Thank you.
06:14Thank you.
06:15Thank you.
06:16Thank you.
06:18Terima kasih.
