A major search operation is underway in Indonesia after the Virgo Transport 8 ferry, carrying around 240 people, lost contact while sailing from Surabaya to Banjarmasin. Amid bad weather, authorities launched a rescue mission after the vessel went missing in the Java Sea. So far, 115 people have been rescued, one person has died, while around 125 remain missing.
