00:44What is it telling you about people's healthcare outcomes?
00:47What we see very clearly in our data is, first of all, between someone coming for their first scan and
00:52their second scan,
00:53their health markers improve.
00:56So in six out of seven of the kind of core biomarkers that we look at, there is an improvement.
01:00So that's fantastic.
01:01With people who have chronic conditions, they actually improve two to three times more than the typical person.
01:07So we have an impact on the healthy population, on the chronic population.
01:11Then for about 5% of people, they're walking around with serious undiagnosed conditions that we identify
01:16and we make sure that they get help with.
01:18And when they come back, the majority of these folks are now back in good shape,
01:23meaning it's actionable, because you don't just want to flag things and then there's nothing you can do about it.
01:28And then we have between 1% and 2% of people where we find something immediately life-threatening,
01:32something that could have ended their lives should they not have come to NECO.
01:35And what's quite remarkable is all of these folks come in asymptomatic,
01:39meaning they don't come in because they have an urgent problem, they feel fine.
01:42You're collecting a lot of longitudinal data, which is presumably going to be very valuable, very useful.
01:48What will you be able to do with that data in the future that you can't now?
01:52What is it going to be able to tell you and inform about the way that you approach this?
01:56Yeah. So I think as a society, what we need to get to is, A, a scientific understanding
02:01to be able to predict incredibly well what are the health risks for every individual
02:05and how can we intervene as early as possible to limit the risk of those health outcomes?
02:11And number two is, how do we make that affordable enough so that every person in the country
02:15can have access to this kind of preventive care?
02:18And both of these things are deeply driven from the technology doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
02:23So by tracking your health information every year, A, first we start to understand your body and your health,
02:30and we can see the trends for what's happening with you.
02:32But when you do that at scale, you can now start to map out deeper patterns
02:37that previously have never been understood because no one has been able to do
02:41this thorough and systematic tracking of people's health over time before.
02:45So I think this will usher in a new era of medical insights to a big degree driven by AI
02:52that will make just like radically improve the quality of health care that you can provide
02:57and radically improve the affordability of that health.

03:04If we take a step back from the Neko story, what do you think our health care systems will look

03:09if innovation progresses and the role of AI in 10 years' time?
03:13Yeah. So I think what's going to happen is every single human has a different body from every other human.
03:19And what AI is going to enable us to do together with these data tracking technologies
03:23is to understand that in a way that's never been understood before.
03:27And then treatments will not be based on very coarse characteristics like age or gender or something like this.
03:35It will be based on your specific body and what's likely to work for you.
03:39Tailored, personalized medicine.
03:41Yes.
03:41And that is our future.
03:43That's coming.
03:44And this is going to make us live much, much just like higher life quality lives.
03:51I don't think it's likely that, you know, we're going to live to 500.
03:55But I think it's very likely that between 55 and 80, almost every single person can have a great life
04:00with very little suffering and a lot of energy.
04:02And that happens in our lifetime, does it?
04:04Definitely.

04:05And I think one part of that is understanding your body deeply and building these longitudinal health data sets
04:11so we can understand what's going to happen with the trajectory of your health.
04:15And the other part is the AI drug discovery piece where new compounds and new ways of using your own
