00:09Bristol Beer Factory is a fiercely independent brewery.
00:12We were one of the first breweries in this area to jump on board the craft beer era.
00:18When I joined here, I think I was the fifth or sixth employee.
00:21They made a beer called Independence and another one called South Bill Hop.
00:24And I drank those and I thought, wow, these guys are actually brewing some incredible beer.
00:30The business was growing. The bottom line was growing with it.
00:33But we were completely out of space here and that really triggered that move then.
00:38We searched high and low for a new site.
00:41It was really, really important to us to stay in Bristol.
00:44Our roots, our legacy is here.
00:46So we secured a new site and then went on one of the wildest projects I've ever been on.
00:51How will we actually do this? How can we afford to do this?
00:54Being able to plan the whole flow of the business and how it would work
00:57and really have that time to think about it?
01:00What will happen if this happens? Where does it all start?
01:02How do we get that to work brilliantly?
01:06We really wanted to build automation in, as well as reduce our carbon footprint
01:10through the amount of CO2 that we're knocking into the atmosphere through fermentation,
01:14capture that, clean it, scrub it, store it.
01:17When you're putting a project like that together, you've got sort of one shot at it really.
01:21It was just so refreshing when we approached Lloyd's.
01:24They just made it really easy.
01:26The process from the capital import loan through to the asset finance HP,
01:31the way they worked with our supply chain as the product was coming in from all over the world,
01:35the nitty gritty behind the scenes, they just helped us sail through
01:39because they had the experience and we didn't.
01:42We keep everything simple here.
01:45We think about our people, our beer, our community and our service.
01:49They're kind of like the four pillars.
01:51We've always been close to our community.
01:54So we create this program called Brood to Give.
01:57We take 2% of our previous financial year's turnover and we invest it into our community.
02:02It's something that the team have really bought into.
02:04It's just in our DNA. It's who we are.
02:07How big will we get? Will we double where we are now?
02:10We're in no rush to do that. We'll just do it our way.
02:20We're going to do it our way.
02:21We've moved to Africa to India.
02:21We'll just do it our way.
02:25What happens when, of course, it will be.
