00:02The LRT Shah Alam Line has been in operation since June 29,
00:07connecting commuters across Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang.
00:12Formerly known as LRT-3, the 37.8-kilometre line links Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya
00:19to Johan Setia in Klang through 20 stations.
00:23The line was introduced to improve connectivity across the western Klang Valley

00:31providing connections to the existing Kajang MRT and Klana Jaya LRT lines.

00:46The busiest passenger movement observed was at the connecting stations,
00:50particularly Bandar Utama and Glenmarie 2,
00:53where commuters could be seen boarding and alighting
00:56to continue their journeys on the existing rail lines.
00:59Further along the route, Section 7 in Shah Alam and Bandar Bukit Tinggi in Klang
01:05also saw passengers getting on and off the train,
01:08serving nearby residential, commercial and retail areas.
01:12The three coach trains also appeared to have ample space during the ride,
01:17with the service currently operating at intervals of about eight minutes.
01:21The 16.63 billion ringgit line is expected to carry about 67,000 passengers a day in its first year,
01:30with ridership projected to exceed 117,000 daily within five years.
01:36While passenger numbers are still building up,
01:39future developments along the line could bring more commuters onto the service.
01:44The government has allocated 4.7 billion ringgit to reinstate five stations
01:50previously dropped from the project,
01:52namely Tropicana, Raja Muda, Temasha, Bukit Raja and Bandar Botanic.
