Neil Cornwell, while fishing, noticed the bird in agony due to a fishing hook lodged in its mouth and took immediate action to liberate it. Scott Green, the videographer, recounted, "We encountered a swan while angling. It was unable to feed because of the hook. So, we captured it and extracted the hook."
