Queensland's credit rating has been downgraded for the first time in almost 20 years putting pressure on the state's multi-billion-dollar debt and Olympic infrastructure.

00:01I wanted to target budget improvement, and two budgets in, that is what we've delivered,
00:07$73 billion less debt, improving deficits with a surplus in the last of the out years,
00:12and no new increased taxes, right?
00:14So that's the responsibility of every Treasurer, to keep their commitments, and that's what
00:21I've done in terms of making sure that we are targeting that budget improvement and
00:27delivering it.
00:27And that, you know, my resolve is as strong as ever to continue that budget improvement,
00:34which we've seen after that decade of labour decline, and also the headwinds from Canberra.
00:39And that hard work will continue this term and the next.
00:42I've always been really clear about that.
00:44And, you know, we're going to keep doing that hard work.
