00:22Senior Counsel Faris Al-Rawi says his client, 69-year-old star Sabga, has been released from strict house arrest.
00:31Mr. Al-Rawi made the announcement during a media conference at his law firm this afternoon.
00:36Today, I confirm that pursuant to revocation of a preventative detention order, the Honorable Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander,
00:47revoked the previous detention order that he had issued in relation to our client, Star Sabga.
00:55She was, as you will recall, detained on the 26th of June, 2026 at 10.15 a.m. this morning.
01:07Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service provided the revocation order to Ms. Sabga and I received that order
01:17with her.
01:30Mr. Al-Rawi said he received the revocation order with Ms. Sabga as he spoke about the emotional state of
01:38his client.
01:40Ms. Sabga is in a mix of emotions and it's going to take a while for her to come to
01:46the reality that she can lock her front door, that she can lock her bedroom door and not expect somebody
01:52to walk in and do a check at 4 a.m. in the morning while she's asleep or 12 o
01:56'clock midnight.
