00:00Oh, that's very kind. I am back to work after summer vacation and before, before.
00:07Let the man talk. The crowd went wild when Jimmy Kimmel returned from break on Tuesday, September 8th.
00:13It was Jimmy Kimmel Live's 4,000th episode. Whoa.
00:17And according to Page Six sources, this season will be Kimmel's last.
00:21An insider familiar with the situation explained that the longtime host contract is not getting extended after 24 years on
00:29the air.
00:29The current season wraps up May 2027.
00:33But before you pour one out for Jimmy, a spokesperson for ABC Entertainment told us,
00:37this information is inaccurate. Any reports about the future of the show at this point are purely speculative.
00:44Kimmel takes pride in signing year-to-year deals, which are rare in showbiz.
00:49This allows him unusual flexibility.
00:51Surprisingly, insiders say the outspoken liberal host Exit, quote,
00:55wouldn't have anything to do with Trump, despite their antagonistic relationship.
00:59Our TV insider says Disney's new boss, Josh DeMauro, has been offering veteran executives early retirement packages
01:06as part of restructuring and cost-cutting across the company.
01:10On top of that, he's, quote,
01:16The Mouse House just sued the FCC last month, accusing it of attacking ABC's free speech
01:22by requesting to review the network's broadcasting licenses earlier than usual.
01:27Coincidentally, this came one day after Rosie O'Donnell debuted as a celebrity guest host on August 17th.
01:33The former daytime diva crushed it during her four-night run.
01:37It was a ratings and viral hit. A source told us the former co-host of The View was in
01:42her element.
01:43So, could Rosie be taking over come fall 2027?
01:47Here's what we reported last month.
01:49And if you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel,
01:54buckle up, people, buckle up!
01:58She's back!
01:59Former daytime diva Rosie O'Donnell was pretty in pink for her big return to TV.
02:04After fleeing the U.S. following the 2024 election.
02:08The comedian is guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live for four nights,
02:12August 17th through the 20th.
02:14And, of course, the famously liberal comedian wasted zero time
02:17reigniting her decades-long feud with Donald Trump.
02:21You know, I've been living in Ireland for the past two years
02:24because of Mango Mussolini.
02:26Hi, I know you're watching.
02:31Kimmel's audience ate it up.
02:33This comes nearly a year after ABC suspended the liberal host
02:36over a major conservative backlash.
02:39Cut to June 18th of this year,
02:41he went on a voluntary two-month summer break
02:44with celebrity guest hosts filling in.
02:46Last week on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast,
02:49O'Donnell credited POTUS for her career boost.
02:52Take a look.
02:53And I feel like recently I'm re-famous.
02:57That's what I feel.
02:58I told my kids,
02:58well, kids, hold on, because mommy's re-famous.
03:01I don't know how it happened.
03:02I think it's Mango Mussolini.
03:04I think it's him who did it.
03:05He didn't know.
03:06If he knew how much he was helping my career and my life,
03:09he would shut up about me because, you know,
03:11he's a horrible creature.
03:13Meanwhile, in June, on Truth Social,
03:15Trump claimed O'Donnell was obsessed with him.
03:18Their feud goes way back,
03:19long before Trump got into politics.
03:21The two outspoken native New Yorkers
03:24traded barbs in 2006 and 2007
03:27while O'Donnell was a co-host on The View.
03:29He called her a stone-cold loser.
03:32Before that, O'Donnell was a beloved actress
03:35bringing comic relief to flicks like
03:37Sleepless in Seattle and A League of Their Own.
03:39Hosting a talk show,
03:41that's nothing new for her either.
03:43The Rosie O'Donnell Show aired on daytime TV
03:45from 1996 to 2002,
03:48where she was dubbed the Queen of Nice.
03:50shooting koosh balls into the crowd
03:53and crushing on movie star Tom Cruise.
03:56In 2002, O'Donnell publicly came out as gay
03:59during the final season of the show.
04:01The mom of five recently revealed
04:03that she got the word they tattooed on her wrist
04:06in honor of her youngest kid.
04:08Born Dakota,
04:09the 13-year-old now goes by Clay
04:11and came out as non-binary in 2024.
04:14O'Donnell's ink is written in Clay's own handwriting.
