00:00Good evening, New Hampshire, and thanks for being here tonight and for believing in me and our campaign that is
00:07bringing people together across the political dividing lines to put the people of New Hampshire first.
00:18It was a year and a half ago in this very room that we launched our campaign to make life
00:24better for families and small businesses, to challenge extreme politicians and corporate special interests and the billionaire class, and to
00:31confront the costs, the chaos, and the corruption of Donald Trump's Washington.
00:38Now, today the voters of New Hampshire have sent a clear message.
00:43They're fed up with what's happening in our politics, and they're ready for change.
00:50And I am so grateful, beyond words, to stand before you as your nominee for United States Senate.
01:12The fight for a democracy that delivers and an economy that works enters a critical phase over the next eight
01:19weeks.
01:20Because while Donald Trump and the D.C. special interests have hand-picked John Sununu to be their candidate in
01:26this race,
01:28we know that Granite Staters deserve someone who works for New Hampshire.
01:32So tonight, I want to say something to everyone who supported another candidate in today's primary.
01:38Whether you voted for Karishma Manzor, Scott Brown, or someone else, I'm running to represent all Granite Staters, and this
01:46campaign is for you.
01:52The challenges that we face, after all, affect each and every one of us.
01:58Because everywhere I go, I hear the same thing.
02:00Life is too damn expensive.
02:02I've heard it from residents at mobile home parks that have been purchased by private equity firms who jack up
02:08their rent.
02:08From small businesses getting hammered by high, unpredictable tariffs that are increasing costs and hurt the bottom line.
02:15Families dropping their health insurance premiums because they've doubled or tripled in cost.
02:20Folks cutting back on their summer plans because of sky-high gas prices.
02:25Seniors worried about the future of Social Security and Medicare at a moment where there's no financial breathing room.
02:31Granite Staters just trying to balance the cost of groceries, rent, utilities, and child care.
02:37Now, Donald Trump thinks all of this is just a hoax.
02:40In fact, he says we're living in a golden age.
02:44Well, I think he's living on another planet because does this feel like a golden age to you?
02:49Now, it might be a golden age if you're a member of the Epstein class.
02:52It might be a golden age if you're a contributor to the new ballroom buying special treatment.
02:57It might be a golden age if you're connected and can land a no-bid contract.
03:02And it might be a golden age if you're cut in on the corruption that's out in the open in
03:06Washington.
03:07It might be a golden age if you're Donald Trump, the President of the United States,
03:11because we've got a leader who thinks the rules don't apply to him,
03:15who has padded his net worth by $2.2 billion since coming back into office with stock trades,
03:22meme coin sales, and constant grift.
03:24And this cannot be allowed to go on, not in the United States.
03:29We need accountability for the American people.
03:35Now, another person who's living his golden age is Senator Johnny Sununu
03:41because he went to Washington 30 years ago when everyone was doing the Macarena, you know,
03:47and has made up to $35 million working for the same corporate special interest that he voted with.
03:53When he was our Senator, he voted with Big Pharma against lower prescription drug costs,
03:58gave Wall Street a $700 billion bailout, and even wrote the plan to privatize Social Security.
04:05And while New Hampshire families are struggling to make ends meet,
04:08John Sununu has thrown his lot in with Donald Trump
04:11and support the policies that cater to big corporations and billionaires
04:16while they make life harder for Granite Staters.
04:18Sununu supported Trump's tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy on the backs of hard-working families
04:24that added trillions of dollars to our debt.
04:26Sununu supported Trump's health care cuts that are resulting in higher costs
04:31and thousands of New Hampshire families losing coverage.
04:34Sununu was a cheerleader for Trump's war on Iran,
04:37just like he was for the war in Iraq,
04:39which has sent gas over $4 a gallon
04:42and cost Granite Staters hundreds of dollars more per household this year.
04:47Sununu supported Trump's tariffs
04:48that are killing our small businesses
04:50and driving up costs on everything from lumber
04:53to back-to-school supplies to groceries.
04:56Folks, it is time to turn the page in America to a better day.
05:07We've got to turn the page on Donald Trump's reckless leadership
05:10on corruption, on the rigged economy, and on costs.
05:13And this is not the time to turn it back to a failed politician from the past.
05:18It is time to look ahead to the future.
05:20And that's what we're fighting for in this campaign.
05:23It's time for a new voice in the United States Senate,
05:26someone who will challenge the broken ways of Washington
05:29and make progress on the challenges facing our families and communities.
05:32I'm running to be that leader for everyone who calls New Hampshire home
05:36because that's who I fight for every day.
05:38I fight for you, the folks of the Granite State.
05:48I fought to take on Big Pharma and bring down prescription drug prices,
05:52to connect our rural communities with high-speed broadband,
05:55to expand access to care and benefits for our veterans
05:58who have served this great nation,
06:00to invest in affordable housing and public safety,
06:02and help our small businesses thrive.
06:05And as a member of the United States Senate,
06:07I'll lead the charge to end the corruption and self-dealing in Washington
06:10by ending stock trading by members of Congress and the President himself.
06:17I'll keep working.
06:19I'll keep working to unmask dark money super PACs.
06:22And I'll work to shut down the revolving door between Congress and K Street.
06:26And I'll work to get big money out of our politics
06:29so that we put the power back in the hands of the people,
06:32not the big corporations.
06:35New Hampshire deserves a senator who is grounded in the people,
06:41places, and values of this great state.
06:43I don't answer to corporate PACs.
06:45I don't answer to CEOs in boardrooms.
06:48I don't answer to any one leader of either political party.
06:52I answer to the people of New Hampshire.
06:55And I'll work with anyone and take on anyone to deliver for this state
07:02because this is my home.
07:04And for me, this has always been a personal fight.
07:07I grew up just up the road.
07:09I'm a Manchester public school kid who washed dishes on weekends
07:13and after school in this restaurant,
07:15bust some tables, and scooped ice cream, and even made the ice cream.
07:18And eventually, I helped run the place.
07:21Unlike Washington, there's no VIP section at this restaurant.
07:25The only special interest that we cater to
07:27are the people who walk through our doors every day.
07:30And that's who I'm fighting for.
07:32You know, this year, we celebrated 250 years of American independence
07:35and a history of independence that runs deep here in New Hampshire.
07:40Of course, it was here in New Hampshire that a group of revolutionaries
07:43drafted the very first state constitution after driving the redcoats out in 1776.
07:49These folks inked independence into the fabric of what it means to be a granite stater.
07:54And they laid the foundation for New Hampshire and the United States of America
07:57to come into being in the first place.
07:59All these years later, we cherish the fundamental principles of democracy,
08:03even as they're being tested like never before.
08:06We believe in checks and balances.
08:08We believe in the rule of law here.
08:11And we don't believe in kings in New Hampshire because in America,
08:14it's government of, by, and for the people.
08:17And we the people.
08:19And we the people get to decide what comes next.
08:23So on November 3rd, that day represents a fork in the road for the kind of economy
08:28and society and country that we will be.
08:31So I thank you so much for the trust that you have placed in me.
08:34To everyone who has gone out there and knocked on doors, made calls, put up signs,
08:39talked to your neighbors about why this counts,
08:41and fought for a freer, fairer New Hampshire
08:43and a future that every granite stater can afford,
08:46thank you for all your efforts.
08:47I'm so indebted to you for the hard work that you're doing.
08:50But we can't stop there.
08:52We've got more work to do and a tough campaign to win in eight weeks.
08:55And I need everyone under the tent in order to win this tough race.
