00:00Thank you all.
00:03Great job, Mary Clay. Great job. Awesome.
00:07Well, my fellow Kentuckians, we did it.
00:17Thanks to all of you, I stand here tonight as the Republican nominee for the United States Senate for the
00:25Commonwealth of Kentucky.
00:31Thank you. Thank you to all of you who knocked on doors, made phone calls, donated money, got out the
00:39vote.
00:39This victory is as much yours as it is mine, but it's bigger than that.
00:45This victory is about the future and whether that future will be shaped by Kentucky common sense or the craziness
00:55of the extreme far left.
00:57But before I speak about that, I want to thank some very special people in my life.
01:04First and foremost, I want to thank thank almighty God, our creator.
01:15Our creator, who has endowed us with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and our Lord and Savior who
01:23has called us all to our God-given purpose, to do good works and to make a positive difference in
01:30this world.
01:35Thank you to my family, especially my beautiful wife, Davis, my precious children, Eleanor, Mary Clay, Hale, and Virginia.
01:50Their sacrifice, forbearance, and love during this busy year and a half was absolutely incredible.
01:57None of this would have been possible without their support, as they gave up time with their husband and father
02:03for family dinners, school, carpool, attendance at volleyball tournaments, dance recitals, and bedtime stories.
02:13To my parents, Donna and Garland Barr, for their unconditional love and encouragement.
02:26For instilling in me and my siblings the values of honesty, hard work, perseverance, and of course compassion to others.
02:35To my entire extended family, thank you all for your love and support.
02:39To my dedicated staff and incredible campaign team.
02:44Simply put, this milestone would not have been possible without each of you and the tireless work you've put in
02:51over the past months and years.
03:01Together, we all dedicate this victory to our dear friend and faithful servant, my late district director and campaign manager,
03:12Tatum Dale.
03:23I want to thank my opponents in this primary, Michael Ferris, Nate Morris, and Daniel Cameron.
03:30Each of these men ran a spirited campaign, and I'm grateful for it.
03:34Contested primaries are about ideas, and they are at the root of our democracy.
03:41By running, they made Kentucky stronger, America stronger, and they made me a better candidate.
03:49I also want to thank President Donald J. Trump.
03:59Thank you, Mr. President, for your powerful support.
04:02I look forward to fighting alongside you to advance our America First agenda and deliver for Kentucky in the United
04:13States Senate.
04:16In addition, I want to extend my appreciation to Senator McConnell for his decades of service to our Commonwealth and
04:23this country.
04:29Ladies and gentlemen, look at the world around you.
04:34One party wants to open our borders, let people into our country illegally, and defund the police.
04:50One party wants to replace free enterprise with socialism and promote government dependency over the dignity of work.
05:00I do not.
05:06One party wants to use fear to drive an irrational shift to more expensive, less reliable energy that will hurt
05:16our economy.
05:17I do not.
05:23One party thinks it's a good idea to force women athletes to compete against biological males.
05:32I do not.
05:38One party thinks taxes should be higher, wealth is wrong, health insurance should come only from government,
05:47and that Kentucky coal should be eliminated, taking with it thousands of good, high-paying jobs.
05:54I do not support these crazy ideas.
06:04And that's why I say the future will be built by Kentucky common sense or the craziness of politicians on
06:12the extreme far left who promote these radical ideas.
06:17It's almost like they learned nothing from the last election.
06:21They want to turn Kentucky into the Commonwealth of Kamala.
06:28I will not let it happen.
06:35I will fight so it can never happen.
06:39Not here, not now, not this election, not ever.
06:50My fellow Kentuckians, at my core, I'm forever a hopeful man.
06:56I've been through a lot, but the Lord made me someone whose glass of bourbon is always full.
07:07When you're born in Kentucky, blessed as a husband and father of four beautiful children, and when you're privileged to
07:15serve the great people of our Commonwealth, how could I not be hopeful?
07:19I'm hopeful because I believe in opportunity and advancement for all, regardless of race, gender, or place of birth.
07:29Every American is entitled to the American dream, especially those of you who work hard and struggle.
07:50I'm hopeful because I believe in American energy dominance with Kentucky leading the way.
08:01And I'm hopeful because, as Ronald Reagan said, America's best days are ahead.
08:09We have a storied 250-year-old history, but there are more stories to write.
08:17Those stories must be based not on the left's utopian dreams that are driven by socialists, candidates with Nazi tattoos,
08:27or a left-wing fringe we in Kentucky do not recognize.
08:30But instead, they must be based on individualism, hard work, perseverance, faith in God, family, the Second Amendment, freedom, and
08:43a U.S. military second to none.
08:51And let me thank all of the veterans in this room and throughout this Commonwealth.
08:56Anything we do in our future is because what you did in the past.
09:08My friends, in six months, there will be another election night.
09:12And between now and then, the left will make its stand.
09:18It will bring its craziness to our borders.
09:22I have work to do.
09:25Just as I said when I declared my candidacy in the primary, I will fight for our way of life,
09:33for our farms, our factories, our horse industry, our bourbon,
09:39for coal, for low taxes, for high growth, for safe towns, safe cities, civility, respect, and fairness to all.
09:53These are our common sense Kentucky values.
09:58These are the reasons I wake up every day to fight for what I believe in.
10:04This contest between Kentucky common sense and the craziness of the extreme far left is important to the future of
10:13our country.
10:14It's important which party controls the Senate.
10:19And it's vital to your children and grandchildren that common sense prevails.
10:31And so to the good and hardworking people of Kentucky, I will never let you down.
10:38I will fight for you.
10:40And if you elect me to the United States Senate, I will lead Kentucky to a new day, a hopeful
10:47future,
10:48and a promise that the future of Kentucky and the future of America will be better and brighter because that
10:56is the story of America.
11:06With your support, I look forward to helping write the next chapter of the greatest story ever told,
11:15the story of the greatest nation in the history of the world, the United States of America.
11:22Thank you and God bless all of you.
