Aid group sets up shelter, classes for children displaced by deadly Nepal floods

International aid group Save the Children has set up a temporary education center and safe space in Nuwakot, Nepal, on Friday (September 4) for children affected by deadly flooding. The white tent, measuring roughly 10x10 meters, operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with dozens of children rotating through every two hours to study and play while the temporary center remains in place.

At least 1,287 people were killed in Nepal as houses, streets and schools in towns and villages near the border with China's Tibet were swept away. So far 5,083 people are reported missing and thousands more displaced. China has put the death toll in Tibet at 21, with 541 others listed as missing.
