Game, set, cocktail! The Honey Deuce is the perfect drink for the US Open—vodka, fresh lemonade, raspberry liqueur, and those iconic honeydew “tennis balls” on top. Refreshing, fruity, and dangerous enough to have you calling everything “out” after the second one.

00:00How is it? I've never actually had a honey deuce.
00:05It's very reminiscent of those days in high school.
00:12Welcome, everybody, to another episode of Bottoms Up.
00:17This time, in honor of the U.S. Open in New York City.
00:21You must be a pro.
00:22Oh, yeah, I know. I'm a pro, all right.
00:24Wow.
00:25So Dave loves tennis, and the U.S. Open is going on,
00:31and so there's a signature drink there that a bunch of yahoos get really drunk off of.
00:35I saw some footage. I'm not proud of you people, but we're going to make it over here.
00:39We get some rowdy spectators in New York.
00:42All right, and it is called?
00:44It's called the Honey Deuce.
00:46Get it, deuce?
00:48Deuce is a Thai score in tennis.
00:49I don't know how to score in tennis.
00:50The Honey, the Honey comes because you're supposed to use Honeydew melon balls,
00:55but we don't have Honeydew.
00:59Okay.
01:01But you have this funky watermelon.
01:03It's just yellow.
01:05It's yellow.
01:05It's a yellow watermelon.
01:06Well, by the way.
01:07That's cool.
01:08So you're going to do the balls?
01:09I'm going to handle the balls.
01:12Okay.
01:12So you do your thing, and I'm going to scoop these.
01:15The Honeydews, in honor of the U.S. Open, is made right in the glass,
01:21in the tall glass we have here with ice.
01:23And I'm using some St. George vodka because it's good.
01:31Yeah, it's good.
01:32And we're going to do two ounces of vodka, maybe a little less.
01:38My balls are a little wonky.
01:40Okay.
01:41They're going to be fine.
01:42Don't you worry.
01:46I'm going to handle it there.
01:48Okay.
01:49We're going to do three ounces of lemonade.
01:54Yeah, for you being.
01:54What the hell kind of balls are those?
01:57They're supposed to be, like, round balls.
02:00Okay, listen.
02:01Balls, like.
02:02It's impossible to get around.
02:03That's a good one.
02:05But I can't get it out.
02:07No, that's why they have the hole in the back.
02:10Okay.
02:14Anyway, and then we're going to do.
02:17It's all such a mess.
02:18Okay.
02:20Just continue.
02:21We're going to do three ounces of lemonade, basically.
02:26I didn't know about the hole in the back.
02:28That's crazy.
02:29I had no idea.
02:30I've had this thing since I was 12.
02:32I swear to God, I stole it from my mother.
02:35That's a, you know what?
02:37We're going to need a little more vodka.
02:39Yeah, no kidding.
02:39Let's add a little more vodka.
02:40And then, so to top it off, what we're going to do is, we're going to use this chambord,
02:46which is basically like raspberry liqueur.
02:49I should drink that in ice cream.
02:50I should put that in my Sprite.
02:51Get hammered.
02:53Great.
02:53Nice.
02:54Drink responsibly.
02:55Whatever.
02:57It's not, it was, it's a, it's, it's, it's a liqueur.
03:00It's not like I was like, you know, mainlining our vodka.
03:02And we're just going to pour that slowly over the top and watch it sink down.
03:06I hope.
03:07There we go.
03:07I feel like that's not a good ball.
03:09So I'm just not even going to include it.
03:11See that?
03:13Look at that.
03:15It's nice looking.
03:17Sure.
03:17Why not?
03:18And then we might give that a nice little stir.
03:23Look at, look at, by the way, on the straws, their hearts.
03:26Love.
03:26Get it?
03:26Love.
03:27Love, tennis, love.
03:27Another tennis reference.
03:32And then you put your garnish right across the top.
03:34Why don't you lay it right across the top like that?
03:36Look at that.
03:38Yeah.
03:40Look at that.
03:41We did it.
03:41You got the seed on there.
03:42You got to eat the seed off.
03:45Listen, a seedless ball is no fun.
03:47That's a, that's a.
03:53That's a pretty good drink.
03:54Sure is.
03:55It's trying.
03:56You know what my favorite part is?
03:56Let everyone see it.
03:57Unlike tennis.
03:59This is quick.
04:00Tennis is gone.
04:01It's forever.
04:02I get it.
04:03They can zoom in.
04:06Embigging it on your computer.
04:07Assuming anyone's watching.
04:09Yeah.
04:09I know.
04:09This crazy show.
04:11How is it?
04:12I've never actually had a honey deuce.
04:15Oh.
04:16It's very reminiscent of those days in high school.
04:19Oh.
04:19Yeah.
04:20Well, I'll bet.
04:21It's the Shambord.
04:21No wonder these people are acting like, like absolute animals at the U.S. Open.
04:26Oh, man.
04:27They are not animals.
04:28They are.
04:28They're just having a good time.
04:29If you have a couple of those.
04:31The honey deuce.
04:32Here's, here's to the U.S. Open.
04:34Here's to the U.S. Open.
04:35What are you rooting for, Lauren?
04:37Um.
04:41Oh, yeah.
04:42Well, that's got some flavor.
04:44I'm rooting for, well, I'm rooting for Sabalenka because you like her.
04:50Sabalenka.
04:50But I also like Coco.
04:53Coco's great.
04:54Yeah.
04:54And she's playing, she's playing great.
04:56I don't want Djokovic because he's puking.
04:59I don't need to see that.
05:00You don't have to worry about him.
05:01He's, he's gone.
05:02Yeah.
05:03So, uh.
05:04Sinner?
05:05He's not playing because he bowed out due to an injury, allegedly.
05:09But Alcaraz is back.
05:11Oh, Alcaraz.
05:11Oh, I love Alcaraz.
05:12He's so young and cute.
05:14Yeah.
05:14Yeah, he would get, he would get a little.
05:16So, here we go.
05:17Cheers.
05:17Cheers.
05:18Bottoms up.
