00:00I would like to know first, what did you think the first time you read the script?
00:05Oh my goodness, I was so entertained and I'm always so happy to read anything from Adam and Simon.
00:11You know, they've been friends of mine since we made The Guest together 13 years ago.
00:15And we've talked about many different projects over the years and I've read so many of their ideas and scripts.
00:21And they teased this one some time ago, you know, and they didn't let me read it until much later
00:28in the day.
00:28And so, you know, I was I was so ready to read it and so excited and yeah, I loved
00:33it.
00:33Drew, what was the most fun part of stepping into this crazy world?
00:41Oh my God, the most fun part.
00:45I mean, so many things.
00:47I think I think any time you get to, you know, change your look, your normal look so immensely is
00:57always a blast.
00:59But then I honestly just the boring answer is just being on set and working with Adam and how collaborative
01:06he is and how how how really fun it is to to to make something with him.
01:11And and and and all that really just translates.
01:13You know, I got to see the film for the first time last night and it it's just a fun
01:17experience watching it.
01:19So, Dan, how would you describe your character, Kammler?
01:23Oh my goodness, how would I describe your character?
01:23Oh my goodness, how would I describe your character?
01:25Oh my goodness.
01:27The perverted genius.
01:29I don't know.
01:30I mean, just so fun.
01:31It was, you know, we knew that we wanted to create a sort of delicious villain with this with this
01:35role.
01:36And, and, you know, there's no greater person to do that with than Adam Wingard.
01:40And so, yeah, I just I had so much fun.
01:45But yeah, gosh, I don't know how I would describe him.
01:47But yeah, what do you think makes this film fresh, new, different from other action movies?
01:56Oh, well, you know, I mean, I think I think it's I think it's a bit of an a return
02:01to form and an ode to this kind of, you know, 80 genre of filmmaking with with all these, you
02:09know, modern assets to it.
02:12And I think I think the attention to detail that Adam's put into it as well.
02:17It's shot incredibly well.
02:18The music's amazing.
02:21I mean, you know, you have all these kind of larger than life characters and it's smashed together in one
02:26in one narrative, but it makes for a really, really good time.
