00:00Should Spencer Jones take Trent Grisham's spot in center field?
00:05I'm seeing a lot of that on social media.
00:07Yeah, he's definitely making an interesting decision.
00:10You know, he just keeps on getting his chance and he's making the most of it right now.
00:13He just keeps on getting better every week, kind of see a more mature hitter making strides in the box.
00:18And now really over the past two weeks, he's just kind of gone on a real hot streak,
00:22just coincided with Grisham kind of going through the other end of the spectrum, a real cold stretch for two
00:26weeks here.
00:27So, you know, Grisham's been a streaky player for most of the season.
00:30They're kind of banking on him, you know, having another hot streak here.
00:33But there's also been the defense, whether you're looking at outs above average or defensive runs saved,
00:37I think he's the second worst among qualified center fielders in both categories.
00:41So not that Spencer Jones has been lighting it up defensively, but, you know, he's certainly more athletic,
00:46you know, has some better foot speed and can cover more ground and center.
00:50But obviously just the bat is speaking the loudest right now.
00:52Spencer has certainly done everything, just about everything he can to try to eat into that playing time in center
00:57field once Judge gets back.
