00:31If you look at defensive runs saved, just another metric.
00:35He's minus seven or nine.
00:38I forget which numbers were which.
00:40And he's, like, tied for second worst in the major league.
00:43So there's a 16-run gap there, basically.
00:47And so I could either go with whatever your metric of the day is, like the flavor of the day,
00:53or I could tell you we watch it.
00:55And you could tell me Anthony Volpe was plus whatever defensively at shortstop.
01:00And I'm like, yeah, no way.
01:02No shot.
01:03No way.
01:04You got to make all the double plays that are obvious.

01:07You got to be able to go in the hole and make a routine backhand play.
01:12He couldn't.
01:12He was on the ground way too much.
01:14Caballero was a little, was better, but a little too sloppy.
01:17This guy, you're getting the best of both worlds.
01:19He's not sloppy, and he can make the above average play.
01:23He's got a real shortstop's arm.
01:25He knows how to feed a ball on a double play to get it, that kinetic chain going.
01:30And he's been the bright spot in this.
