00:00The state of journalism is in question. Obviously, the richest people in the world right now are owning the Washington
00:08Post and Twitter and most of the places we get our information, and that is a concern.
00:13I think five or six of the biggest outlets for information are owned by the richest people in the world.
00:20That's a concern.
00:22But there's still a lot of room for good journalism, and we're in a moment in time where most of
00:30the powers that be have decided that climate change is a hoax and science is not real.
00:36That won't last forever. There will be other people in power, and they will care about it.
00:40You're going to be able to make movies on your phone. You can now, but it's going to get better
00:45and better and better, and we've seen it.
00:46You know, the deepfakes is a problem. The ability, you know, I've seen videos of me that are not me,
00:56but I'm talking about, I'm not talking about movies.
00:58I'm talking about news stories where you're talking about things that you didn't say and didn't do, and then you
01:05start looking at it going,
01:05well, what happens when a government that you're not completely sure is altogether bright sees a video of Putin saying,
01:16I've launched the first nuclear strike, and how do you react?
01:20And, you know, I meet with these AI guys. I met with a guy two days ago who's one of
01:25the best in the world talking about it,
01:28and he says, you know, we used to be able to use watermarks. Those are gone.
01:32We used to be able to use aspect ratios and be able to tell the difference. It's getting harder and
01:36harder.
01:37They're embedding things to be able to tell that they're AI, but it's going to get harder and harder and
01:41harder for us to discern the truth.
01:44I have had a love story with Venice for about 30 years, and in fact was married here,
01:51and so I would say that my greatest moment here was obviously my wedding, because I would get in a
01:58lot of trouble if I don't say that.
02:00No, we had such a beautiful time here.
02:33You
