00:01Alex Cobb he's been on the shelf but not for very long so we expect him to go a little
00:06while Hernandez four hits couple of RBIs in this series and a swing and a ground ball between Vossler and
00:11the bag and down the left field line it goes rolling into foul ground and Hernandez turns and holds with
00:18a single Juan Soto they'll have to play him more straight up Soto rips one up the middle look out
00:23Alex Cobb on the ground ball gets so hard to Gonzalez no thought of third for Cesar Hernandez so now
00:30here is Nelson Cruz with two on and nobody out and the first pitch chopped on the ground to third
00:35and it gets through Vossler it's a fair ball down the left field line and foul ground Hernandez around third
00:40will score Soto to third is being held up the throw will come into the plate as Cruz is into
00:46second base so Nelson Cruz chopped the ground ball to third and on the short in between hop it went
00:53through Vossler so the Nats get a gift to run scores it'll be second and third so infield in again
00:59for Yadiel Hernandez contact accomplished up the middle Soto scores here comes Cruz throw to the plate it's going to
01:08be cut off and the Nationals lead three nothing Yadiel Hernandez in a two strike count drives in his eighth
01:15and ninth runs the bases are loaded a pair of two odd walks now Lucius Fox still looking for that
01:21first major league hit what a time this would be to get it go Bach we've had a balk and
01:26it's four nothing nice call Franny
01:28he started up and then went right back down 2-1 now and this has a great chance to be
01:35his first big league hit no contest at first the Nats lead five nothing the first major league hit for
01:42Lucius Fox scores Kbert Ruiz from third with the Nationals fifth run of the inning
01:47that is a big old smile so the Nats batting around at Cesar Hernandez again number 40 in the inning
01:55coming 3-2 and that's down and in Juan Soto will bat and has Alex Cobb faced his last hitter
02:02well he won't even get a chance that's going to be it two thirds five hits three walks so Cobb
02:09is out and Sam Long is in one and two Soto can't get to it
02:1411 Nats to the plate five score it's the bottom of the first inning and right in there Josiah Gray
02:21taking the bound with a five run lead now the batter is Wilmer Flores in on his hands that's fair
02:28long throw Franco it's on target oh my what a play by Mikel Franco he was well into foul ground
02:37with a jump throw on the money on the fly to Bell and the play wasn't close
02:43the Giants have only had a couple of base runners against Josiah Gray both on walks Jason Krasan so your
02:51first hit should really break up a no hitter I think that would be icing on the cake family watching
02:57base hit for Krasan how about that his first ever waited a long time for that Kristen is a happy
03:06happy girl it's impossible not to root for a guy who's been 10 years in the minor leagues I believe
03:13he's a
03:13this ovation here is something he will never forget the second oldest player in San Francisco to record his first
03:20major league hit Bud Black he's walked two in a row and the bases are loaded that's his fourth walk
03:26of the day so here is Darren Ruff one and two swing and a miss he struck him out with
03:33a slider to get out of the innings the Nationals have runners at the corners for Nelson Cruz ball gets
03:39away and here comes the runner
03:41safe just a little bit high and now going to third is Juan Soto while the Giants stand around ball
03:49and dirt and he is off great job infield in 6-0 Soto standing on third and Cruz will serve
03:57one out into right center that will be caught by Gonzalez Juan Soto coming home and the Nats lead 7
04:06-0
04:07the Nats lead 8-0 so the bases are loaded for the Giants Gonzalez comes up line drive base hit
04:16left field that'll move everybody up one base it's 8 to 1 and there's your new pitcher Kyle Finnegan the
04:23right
04:23hander coming in with the bases loaded here Ruff is gonna hit way outside ball for Finnegan walks in and
04:31that forces in another run second of the inning it's 8 to 2 Nationals
04:36bases still loaded still only one out Flores ground ball to the left side Fox over to his right to
04:42get it he throws the second one the throw to first not in time
04:45Wilmer beats it out for now the run scores Joey Bart comes in and it's 8 to 3 Wilmer just
04:52doesn't have much speed and the Nationals looked at it and they say no challenge
04:57so Finnegan has walked two of the three batters that he's faced and the Giants reload the bases
05:01Davey Martinez is going to go to the side-arming veteran Steve Ciszek to face the left-handed hitting Mike
05:07Ford
05:07line drive base hit it's going to score a pair here's the throw home not in time 8-5
05:17welcome to San Francisco Mike Ford
05:20going to load him up with one out for Yadiel Hernandez who will bat against McGee the left-hander
05:25Hernandez right out toward that big gap ball's gonna drop go to the wall two runs have scored here
05:33comes Josh Bell and as if by design Yadiel Hernandez clears the bases his third hit of the game is
05:41second
05:42double he's driven in five runs here this afternoon it puts the Nationals back in front by six
05:49two down for Brandon Truffle one ball two strikes swing and a miss game over series over a curly W's
05:57in the books and so is a series win in San Francisco
