IBC2026 (September 11-14, RAI Amsterdam) is a distribution marketplace as much as a technology show. This preview covers where regional market-entry deals actually happen at the show — Content Everywhere in Hall 5, the meeting rooms, and IBC Exchange — and lays out four routes an international channel can take into a new region: regional pay-TV carriage, regional streaming platforms, satellite FAST, and global aggregators.
MENA is this year's case study. Regional platforms like OSN, plus satellite-delivered FAST reach across the region, are changing how international channels launch there. Amagi, Globecast, and Eutelsat are named as active players in regional streaming and FAST expansion.
The worked example: Vietnam Today's international channel expanded into the UK via Channelbox (Freeview, Freely), then into MENA and GCC via OSNtv and MENAFLIX starting September 1, 2026.
