00:17When a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed, and does what is just and right, he will
00:26preserve his life.
00:30For I am aware of my rebellious acts, I am forever conscious of my sin.
00:39Hide your face from my sins, wipe away all my guilt.
00:47The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit, O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.
01:01Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and confess our many sins and
01:10wickedness.
01:12We should not justify nor hide them before the face of Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, but confess them with
01:20a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart.
01:24To the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same, by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:35Although we ought always to humbly acknowledge our sins before God, we should do this particularly when we assemble and
01:43meet together,
01:44to give thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:48To give him most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those things which are truly
01:57necessary as well for the body as the soul.
02:02Therefore I pray and ask you, who are present here today, to accompany me with a pure heart and humble
02:09voice to the throne of the heavenly grace, as we say together.
02:16Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep.
02:23We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:29We have offended against your holy laws.
02:32We have failed to do those things which we ought to have done, and we have done things which we
02:39ought not to have done.
02:44But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable sinners.
02:49Spare those, O God, who confess their faults.
02:53Restore those who are truly penitent, according to your promises declared to mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
03:03Grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to
03:12the glory of your holy name. Amen.
03:18Grant, we beseech you, merciful Lord, to your faithful people, pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all
03:26their sins, and serve you with a quiet mind.
03:30Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
03:38Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be your name.
03:43Your kingdom come, your will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
03:49Give us this day our daily bread.
03:52Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:59Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
04:05For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
04:15O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing out your praise.
04:23O God, make speed to save us.
04:27O Lord, make haste to help us.
04:33Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
04:39As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
04:45Amen.
04:48Praise the Lord.
04:50The Lord's name be praised.
04:57Psalm 65
05:00Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion.
05:03Vows made to you are fulfilled.
05:06You hear prayers.
05:08All people approach you.
05:11Our record of sins overwhelms me, but you forgive our acts of rebellion.
05:17How blessed is the one whom you choose and allow to live in your palace courts.
05:23May we be satisfied with the good things of your house, your holy palace.
05:30You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance, O God, our Saviour.
05:37All the ends of the earth trust in you, as well as those living across the wide seas.
05:45You created the mountains by your power and demonstrated your great strength.
05:51You calm the raging seas and their roaring waves, as well as the commotion made by the nations.
05:59Even those living in the most remote areas are awestruck by your acts.
06:05You cause those living in the east and west to praise you.
06:11You visit the earth and give it rain.
06:13You make it rich and fertile.
06:17God's streams are full of water.
06:19You provide grain for them, for you have prepared the earth in this way.
06:25You saturate its furrows and soak its ploughed ground.
06:30With rain showers you soften its soil and make its crops grow.
06:36You crown the year with your good blessings, and you leave abundance in your wake.
06:43The pastures in the wilderness glisten with moisture, and the hills are clothed with joy.
06:50The meadows are clothed with sheep, and the valleys are covered with grain.
06:56They shout joyfully.
06:58Yes, they sing.
07:00Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
07:04As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.
07:08World without end.
07:11Amen.
07:14Psalm 66
07:17Shout out praise to God all the earth.
07:20Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation.
07:24Give him the honour he deserves.
07:28Say to God, how awesome are your deeds.
07:31Because of your great power, your enemies cower in fear before you.
07:37All the earth worships you and sings praises to you.
07:41They sing praises to your name.
07:45Come and witness God's exploits.
07:47His acts on behalf of people are awesome.
07:51He turned the sea into dry land, and they passed through the river on foot.
07:56Let us rejoice in him there.
08:00He rules by his power forever.
08:04He watches the nations.
08:06Stubborn rebels should not exalt themselves.
08:12Praise our God, you nations.
08:14Loudly proclaim his praise.
08:18He preserves our lives, and does not allow our feet to slip.
08:24For you, O God, tested us.
08:26You purified us like refined silver.
08:30You led us into a trap.
08:32You caused us to suffer.
08:35You allowed men to ride over our heads,
08:39and we passed through fire and water.
08:42But you brought us out into a wide open place.
08:46I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices.
08:50I will fulfill the vows I made to you,
08:53which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke while I was in trouble.
08:59I will offer up to you fattened animals as burnt sacrifices,
09:03along with the smell of sacrificial rams.
09:07I will offer cattle and goats.
09:10Come, listen, all you who are loyal to God.
09:13I will declare what he has done for me.
09:17I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue.
09:22If I had harbored sin in my heart,
09:25the Lord would not have listened.
09:29However God heard, he listened to my prayer.
09:34God deserves praise,
09:36for he did not reject my prayer
09:38or abandon his love for me.
09:42Glory be to the Father,
09:44and to the Son,
09:45and to the Holy Spirit,
09:47as it was in the beginning,
09:49is now, and ever shall be,
09:51world without end.
09:53Amen.
09:58Psalm 67
10:02May God show us his favour and bless us.
10:05May he smile upon us.
10:08Then those living on earth will know what you are like.
10:12All nations will know how you deliver your people.
10:16Let the nations thank you, O God.
10:19Let all the nations thank you.
10:21Let foreigners rejoice and celebrate,
10:24for you execute justice among the nations
10:27and govern the people living on earth.
10:31Let the nations thank you, O God.
10:33Let all the nations thank you.
10:36The earth yields its crops.
10:38May God, our God, bless us.
10:41May God bless us.
10:42Then all the ends of the earth
10:44will give him the honour he deserves.
10:49Glory be to the Father,
10:51and to the Son,
10:51and to the Holy Spirit,
10:53as it was in the beginning,
10:55is now, and ever shall be,
10:57world without end.
10:59Amen.
11:05The prophet Ezekiel chapter 39
11:09You, son of man,
11:11prophesy against Gog and say,
11:13Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
11:16Behold, I am against you, Gog,
11:18prince of Roshan, Meshech, and Tubal.
11:22I will turn you around and lead you on,
11:24and will cause you to come up
11:26from the uttermost parts of the north,
11:28and I will bring you on to the mountains of Israel.
11:32I will strike your bow out of your left hand,
11:35and cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand.
11:39You will fall on the mountains of Israel,
11:42you and your hordes and all who are with you.
11:46I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort,
11:49to the animals of the field to be devoured.
11:53You will fall on the open field,
11:55for I have spoken it,
11:57says the Lord Yahweh.
12:00I will send a fire on Magog,
12:02and all those who dwell securely in the islands.
12:06Then they will know that I am Yahweh.
12:09I will make my holy name known among my people Israel.
12:14I will not allow my holy name to be profaned any more.
12:18Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh,
12:21the Holy One in Israel.
12:24Behold, it comes and it will be done,
12:27says the Lord Yahweh.
12:30This is the day about which I have spoken.
12:34Those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out,
12:37and will make fires of the weapons and burn them,
12:41both shields and bucklers,
12:43bows and arrows,
12:45war clubs and spears.
12:48They will make fires with them for seven years,
12:51so that they will take no wood out of the field,
12:54nor cut down any from the forests,
12:57for they will make fires with the weapons.
13:00They will plunder those who plundered them,
13:03and rob those who robbed them,
13:05says the Lord Yahweh.
13:07It will happen in that day
13:09that I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel,
13:14the valley of those who pass through on the east of the sea,
13:18and it will stop those who pass through.
13:21They will bury Gog and his multitude there,
13:25and they will call it the valley of Haman Gog.
13:29The house of Israel will be burying them for seven months,
13:33that they may cleanse the land.
13:36Yes, all the people of the land will bury them,
13:39and they will become famous in the day that I will be glorified,
13:43says the Lord Yahweh.
13:46They will set apart men of continual employment,
13:50who will pass through the land.
13:52Those who pass through will go with those who bury,
13:55those who remain on the surface to cleanse it.
13:59And after the ends of seven months,
14:01they will search.
14:04Those who pass through the land will pass through.
14:08And if anyone sees a man's bone,
14:11they will put a sign by it,
14:13until the undertakers have buried it in the valley of Haman Gog.
14:20Hamanah will also be the name of a city,
14:23and they will cleanse the land.
14:27You, son of man, says the Lord Yahweh,
14:29speak to the birds of every sort,
14:31and to every animal of the field.
14:34Assemble yourselves and come,
14:36gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice,
14:39that I sacrifice for you,
14:42even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel,
14:46that you may eat meat and drink blood.
14:51You shall eat the flesh of the mighty,
14:53and drink the blood of the princes of the earth,
14:55of rams, of lambs, and of goats,
14:58of bulls, and of the fatlings of Bashan.
15:02You shall eat fat until you are full,
15:05and drink blood until you are drunk,
15:07of the sacrifice which I have made for you.
15:11You will be filled at my table,
15:13with horses and chariots,
15:15with mighty men,
15:16and with all men of war,
15:18says the Lord Yahweh.
15:20I will set my glory among the nations.
15:24Then all the nations will see my judgment
15:27that I have executed,
15:29and my hand that I have laid on them,
15:32so that the house of Israel will know
15:35that I am Yahweh their God
15:36from that day forward.
15:39The nations will know
15:41that the house of Israel went into captivity
15:43for their iniquity,
15:45because they trespassed against me,
15:47and I hid my face from them.
15:52So I gave them into the hand
15:53of their adversaries,
15:54and they fell by the sword.
15:57I did to them according to their uncleanness,
16:00and according to their transgressions.
16:05I hid my face from them.
16:09Therefore, thus says the Lord Yahweh,
16:11now I will reverse the captivity of Jacob,
16:14and have mercy on the whole house
16:16of Israel.
16:18I will be jealous for my holy name.
16:21They will bear their shame,
16:23and all their trespasses,
16:24by which they have trespassed against me,
16:27when they dwell securely in their land.
16:30And no one will make them afraid,
16:32when I have brought them back
16:34from the peoples,
16:36and gathered them out of the enemy's lands.
16:40And I am sanctified in them,
16:43in the sight of many nations.
16:46They will know that I am Yahweh their God,
16:49in that I caused them to go into captivity
16:52among the nations,
16:53and have gathered them back to their own land.
16:57I will leave none of them captive any more.
17:00I will not hide my face from them any more.
17:04For I have poured out my spirit
17:06on the house of Israel,
17:09says the Lord Yahweh.
17:12This is the word of the Lord.
17:15Thanks be to God.
17:28Mary said,
17:30My soul exalts the Lord,
17:32and my spirit has begun to rejoice
17:34in God my Saviour,
17:36because He has looked
17:38upon the humble state of His servant.
17:42For from now on
17:44all generations will call me blessed,
17:47because He who is mighty
17:48has done great things for me,
17:50and holy is His name.
17:53From generation to generation
17:55He is merciful to those who fear Him.
18:00He has demonstrated power with His arm.
18:03He has scattered those whose pride
18:05wells up from the sheer arrogance
18:07of their hearts.
18:09He has brought down the mighty
18:11from their thrones,
18:12and has lifted up those of lowly position.
18:16He has filled the hungry with good things,
18:19and has sent the rich away empty.
18:22He has helped His servant Israel,
18:25remembering His mercy,
18:27as He promised to our ancestors,
18:30to Abraham,
18:31and to his descendants for ever.
18:35Glory be to the Father,
18:37and to the Son,
18:38and to the Holy Spirit,
18:40as it was in the beginning,
18:42is now, and ever shall be,
18:45world without end.
18:46Amen.
18:52The Gospel according to Saint Mark,
18:55Chapter 11
18:59When they came near to Jerusalem,
19:01to Bethphage and Bethany,
19:03at the Mount of Olives,
19:05He sent ahead two of His disciples,
19:07and said to them,
19:36Go your way into the village
19:38and they untied Him.
19:41Some of those who stood nearby asked them,
19:44What are you doing,
19:45untying the young donkey?
19:47And they said to them,
19:48Just as Jesus had said,
19:50and they let them go.
19:52They brought the young donkey to Jesus,
19:54and threw their garments on it,
19:56and Jesus sat upon it.
19:59Many spread their garments on the way,
20:02and others were cutting down branches
20:03from the trees,
20:04spreading them out in the road.
20:08Those who went in front,
20:09and those who followed,
20:10cried out,
20:12Hosanna!
20:13Blessed is he who comes
20:15in the name of the Lord.
20:17Blessed is the kingdom of our father David,
20:20that is coming in the name of the Lord.
20:23Hosanna in the highest.
20:27Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem.
20:31He looked around at everything,
20:33and it now being evening,
20:35he went back to Bethany with the twelve.
20:40The following day,
20:41when they had come out of Bethany,
20:43he was in need of food.
20:45And seeing a fig tree in the distance
20:47with leaves on it,
20:48he went to see if by chance
20:50it had anything on it.
20:52When he came to it,
20:54he saw nothing but leaves,
20:55for it was not time for the fruit.
20:58So he said to it,
20:59Let no man take fruit from you forever.
21:03And his disciples took note of his words.
21:08They came into Jerusalem,
21:10and Jesus went into the temple.
21:13He sent out those who were trading there,
21:16overturning the tables of the money changers,
21:19and the seats of those who were offering doves for money.
21:23He would not let any man take a vessel through the temple.
21:28And he said to them,
21:29Is it not in the Scriptures,
21:31My house is to be named a house of prayer for all the nations?
21:36But you have made it a hole filled with thieves.
21:41Now it came to the ears of the chief priests and the scribes,
21:45who took thoughts about how they might put him to death,
21:49being in fear of him,
21:51because the people were full of wonder at his teaching.
21:56Every evening he went out of the town.
21:59And when they were going by in the morning,
22:02they saw the fig tree dead up from the root.
22:06And Peter, having a memory of it,
22:09said to him,
22:09Master, see, the tree which was cursed by you is dead.
22:16Jesus, answering, said to him,
22:19Have God's faith.
22:20Truly, I say to you,
22:22whoever says to this mountain,
22:24be taken up and put into the sea,
22:26and has no doubt in his heart,
22:29but has faith that what he says will come about,
22:33will have his desire.
22:35For this reason, I say to you,
22:37whatever you make a request for in prayer,
22:41have faith that it will be given to you,
22:44and you will have it.
22:46Whenever you make a prayer,
22:47let there be forgiveness in your heart,
22:50if you have anything against anyone,
22:53so that you may have forgiveness for your sins
22:55from your Father who is in heaven.
23:01This is the word of the Lord.
23:04Thanks be to God.
23:16Now, according to your word,
23:18Sovereign Lord,
23:19permit your servant to depart in peace.
23:22For my eyes have seen your salvation,
23:25that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
23:30a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
23:33and for glory to your people Israel.
23:38Glory be to the Father,
23:40and to the Son,
23:41and to the Holy Spirit,
23:42as it was in the beginning,
23:44is now, and ever shall be,
23:46world without end.
23:48Amen.
23:54I believe in God the Father Almighty,
23:57maker of heaven and earth,
23:59and in Jesus Christ,
24:01his only Son,
24:02our Lord,
24:03who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
24:06born of the Virgin Mary,
24:08suffered unto Pontius Pilate,
24:11was crucified,
24:13dead,
24:14and buried.
24:15He descended into hell.
24:17On the third day,
24:18he rose again from the dead.
24:21He ascended into heaven,
24:23and is sitting at the right hand of God,
24:26the Father Almighty.
24:28From there,
24:29he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
24:32I believe in the Holy Spirit,
24:35the Holy Catholic Church,
24:37the communion of saints,
24:38the forgiveness of sins,
24:40the resurrection of the body,
24:43and the life everlasting.
24:46Amen.
24:51The Lord be with you,
24:54and with your spirit.
24:58Let us pray.
25:01Lord, have mercy upon us.
25:05Christ, have mercy upon us.
25:09Lord, have mercy upon us.
25:16Our Father, who is in heaven,
25:19holy is your name.
25:22May your kingdom come.
25:24May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
25:29Give us this day our daily bread.
25:31Forgive us our trespasses,
25:34as we forgive those who trespass against us.
25:38Lead us not into temptation,
25:40but deliver us from evil.
25:43For yours is the kingdom,
25:46the power and the glory,
25:48for ever and ever.
25:50Amen.
25:56O Lord, show your mercy upon us,
25:59and grant us your salvation.
26:04Protect and guide those in authority over us,
26:09and mercifully hear us when we call upon you.
26:15Endure your ministers with righteousness,
26:18and make your chosen people joyful.
26:23O Lord, save your people,
26:27and bless your inheritance.
26:32Give peace in our time,
26:34O Lord,
26:36because there is none other who fights for us,
26:39but only you, O God.
26:42O God, make clean our hearts within us,
26:47and take not your Holy Spirit from us.
26:58Let us pray.
27:01Keep, we beseech you, O Lord,
27:04your church with your perpetual mercy,
27:08because the frailty of man without you cannot but fail.
27:13Keep us ever by your help from all things hurtful,
27:16and lead us to all things profitable to our salvation.
27:21Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
27:24Amen.
27:34O God, from whom all holy desires,
27:38all good counsels, and all just works proceed,
27:42give to your servants that peace
27:44which the world cannot give,
27:47that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments,
27:51and also that, by you,
27:54we, being defended from the fear of our enemies,
27:58may pass our time in rest and quietness.
28:02Through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
28:06Amen.
28:11Lighten our darkness, we beseech you, O Lord,
28:14and by your great mercy defend us all
28:17from perils and dangers of this night.
28:21For the love of your only Son,
28:23our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
28:26Amen.
28:30Almighty God,
28:31who has given us grace at this time with one accord
28:34to make our common supplications to you,
28:37and promises that when two or three are gathered together
28:41in your name,
28:42you will grant their requests.
28:46Fulfill now, O Lord,
