00:00Yeah, there was a scene that didn't get aired.
00:02When we were talking to Zach and Kata,
00:03Anne was like,
00:04Kata, when you rejected Bryce,
00:06I was ready to cut a b****.
00:12Hey, GQ.
00:13I'm Zach.
00:14I'm Carl.
00:15I'm Bryce.
00:15I'm Sincere.
00:16And we are the Love Island USA Season 8 finalists.
00:19And these are our 10 essentials.
00:28So breakfast is one of the most important things on the show.
00:32It is your way to show love to your partner first.
00:35As Sincere knows it, it's very symbolic.
00:38Don't make two breakfasts.
00:39Also, don't joke about not making breakfast.
00:42Take that shit very seriously.
00:44I mean, you got all the macros too.
00:46You got your carbs, you got your protein,
00:49got some fiber in there, your fats.
00:50Thanks, Carl.
00:51I think the secret to making a good breakfast
00:53is keeping it simple,
00:55but just making sure the temperatures are right.
00:57Like cooking the eggs properly.
00:59Don't overdo it.
01:00It's in the dry.
01:00Don't underdo it if your partner doesn't like that.
01:02Most important thing, get to the kitchen first.
01:05That shit gets busy.
01:06This guy had like five pounds.
01:08The biggest pan in the house.
01:10So the burners, there's four burners
01:12and there's a burner in the center
01:13and everyone would be on those burners.
01:15There would only be one pan left
01:16and I would always just jam it in the middle
01:18and push all the plates out.
01:20I'd establish dominance early in the kitchen.
01:22A note for season nine,
01:24have people make certain things.
01:26Like, all right, this guy's making the pancakes.
01:28This guy's making the eggs.
01:29Like, it just makes it so much quicker.
01:31It'll save a lot of time.
01:32Delegate.
01:33Yeah, delegate it.
01:34Like, Gabe was on those smoothies.
01:35Remember, it just made a massive thing of smoothie
01:37and you could just go ahead and coffee.
01:39Trini was a little tough food critic.
01:41Thankfully, she liked what I was making.
01:45Yeah, so one of my number one essentials,
01:47I always have it on me.
01:49It's always on my keys at any point
01:50is my main USB when I DJ.
01:53There's been countless times I've been at an event
01:55or like at a club.
01:57They want to keep the thing going
01:58and the DJ gets off
01:59and I'll literally just go up there, plug in and play.
02:02You never know where you're going to be
02:03or if you forget.
02:04So I always have this no matter what as a backup.
02:06Huge essential.
02:07Wait, so what's on that?
02:08Just all my music, everything.
02:09So I have all like all the house music.
02:12If I do a hip-hop set, all my hip-hop music's on there.
02:14I have like thousands of songs on here.
02:16So you literally just plug it right in.
02:17There's a lot of money right there.
02:20I think Pospa's like killing it.
02:23Kedema, all the UK guys are just like killing it
02:26in the house space.
02:26Do you know any of those people?
02:27Nah, never heard of them.
02:29I first got into DJing because I was always producing.
02:31I was like electronic music.
02:33One of my buddies, I saw him DJing in LA
02:34and I was like, I think I could do this.
02:36And then I just taught myself.
02:41They're all invited.
02:42Not GA?
02:43VIP?
02:44You still have to pay.
02:47I want to be standing with you.
02:48I want to press just one burn.
02:49I want to make sure security keeps you in my connection.
02:57Oh yeah, this is a good one.
02:59Does it material matter?
03:00Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:01So I kiteboard, which is basically like this giant kite
03:04will pull you across the water.
03:05You pump up this kite, you hook up all your lines,
03:08then you hook to your harness, which goes to this bar.
03:10And it's this giant kite that's pulling you across the water.
03:13You can bring it up to 12, you can pull in
03:15and then like it shoots you up.
03:16I've seen people like fly like 50 feet.
03:18You can get really high.
03:19And like one time, like last,
03:21it was literally last year, right about this time,
03:23I looped my kite and I didn't do it aggressively enough.
03:27And so it just swung me into the water
03:29and I just ended up breaking my rib because my harness just like,
03:32just popped out of place.
03:34So definitely having something like a helmet is just, it's like key.
03:37Yeah, especially like in this learning phase.
03:39Have you ever actually hit your head and you thought,
03:41fuck, imagine if I didn't have my helmet right now.
03:42Yeah, definitely.
03:43I grew up in Colorado, but every single summer of my life,
03:46I've gone to the East Coast and like, I love to sail.
03:49And my mom was like, she was a paraglider.
03:51So she, she was kind of living vicariously through me.
03:54So she was like, yeah, I'm going to put you in some lessons
03:56after like a couple, like, yeah, I was hooked.
03:59The adrenaline rush of just being so high, just like for so long,
04:03it's just like one of the coolest feelings in the world.
04:05You're a cool guy.
04:06Oh, thanks, man.
04:07You're so cool.
04:08It's a perfect fit.
04:09Ready?
04:10There we go, see you first.
04:12Can we test this thing out?
04:13I don't wear helmets because of my hair.
04:16So one of my essentials is my hair products and curl cream.
04:20That's surprising.
04:22Yeah.
04:23Anyone with curly hair knows these are a vital thing to have.
04:27In the morning when I wake up, this hair is out here.
04:29So these bad boys tame the beast and make me look nice and just good.
04:35Like a Greek god.
04:36Obviously shower, you want your hair wet because it like holds in the moisture.
04:39And then literally, I wish I had some crazy like routine,
04:42but literally you just get a good amount of curl cream in there,
04:45get it all, coat all the, all the curls and then let it air dry
04:48and then style it how you like it.
04:50And it just keeps it all nice and contained and looking fresh.
04:54This guy might love his hair more than he loves Lola.
04:57Oh my God.
04:58Countless times.
04:59I'm just like, hold on one more second.
05:00Like one more second, it needs to be.
05:01In the video, the amount of times I redid my hair,
05:03they would get so angry at me.
05:04I'd be like, one sec, how much time do I have to really redo my hair?
05:07By the way, he was late to get here because of his hair.
05:09Oh yeah, I was late here because I was redoing my hair.
05:12A haircut makes a massive, you got a fresh trim and you look mad different.
05:15You know what I mean?
05:15The first week was getting grilled.
05:17Everyone said I had a wig on.
05:19Exactly, exactly.
05:20And that's why as well another thing,
05:22when I used to go to bed in the villa,
05:23I'd always make sure I was covering my hair because
05:26it used to just be all over the place
05:27and I didn't want everyone to see.
05:29I was doing a hoodie.
05:30The hoodie or like with a hat, you know,
05:32like that's why I'd always want to cover it up.
05:37These bad boys right here are a lifesaver.
05:39In the villa, I would always have my hair up.
05:41During the days, you know, it would just be really hot and humid in Fiji.
05:45And at night, I would, you know, let it flow down.
05:47Tarzan.
05:48Yeah, Tarzan.
05:49Yeah, Tarzan.
05:49Carl knows.
05:50These hair ties have, you know, saved my days and saved my hair plenty, plenty of times.
05:55How many hair ties do you go through?
05:57Oh my gosh.
05:58I've gone through countless.
06:00Like in the villa, I had my one that like I loved so much.
06:04Then it just started like stretching out, stretching out, stretching out.
06:06And you know, I gladly had my backups.
06:09Sheesh.
06:09I mean, probably in a month, maybe like two or three,
06:12but there's a specific kind.
06:13And these ones, these ones are it for sure.
06:16So, gray hair ties.
06:20Oh, this bad boy, the bonnet.
06:23The famous sincere bonnet.
06:25This is the infamous bonnet right here.
06:26This is a lifesaver.
06:28Zach, we've been talking about it.
06:29You put me on.
06:30Yeah, we're going to get Zach a bonnet too.
06:31Finally I need one.
06:32Protect the curls, especially when I don't have my hair in braids.
06:35You know, I have had the locks flowing.
06:38You've got to have the bonnet.
06:39It's imperative.
06:40A nighttime essential for sure.
06:42Had to be told at times to take it off.
06:44It's like, all right, take it off.
06:45It's time.
06:46Like I said, I'm new to the long hair group.
06:49My mom and my sister are the ones that were like, got me my first one.
06:52So here we are.
06:53Here we are.
06:54It doesn't, it doesn't leave my side.
06:55So you travel with it too.
06:57Travel with the bonnet, sleep with the bonnet, cook with the bonnet,
06:59eat with the bonnet, play games with the bonnet.
07:02I don't want a bonnet now.
07:04I know.
07:04Yeah.
07:05I'll get you guys all bonnets.
07:07Another big essential.
07:09So a lot of people saw my grandma is a huge part of my life.
07:13So I always have lots of pictures of her on my phone.
07:16Like this one's of her and my grandfather, which is like critical.
07:20It's my lady, my favorite person.
07:22So, you know, other than Trinity, of course.
07:25Yeah, there was a scene.
07:26So that didn't get aired, but with, when we were talking to Zach and Kata,
07:31Anne was like, yeah, Kata, when you rejected Bryce, I was ready to cut a bitch.
07:37And I thought that was going to get aired, but he was crazy.
07:40He's just like, I think my favorite thing she said was the three-something.
07:43That was pretty good.
07:44She was like, one person always gets left out in a threesome.
07:46Then you were like, she knows from personal experience.
07:49Yeah.
07:49Somebody gets underserved in a three-way.
07:51Of course, I was there.
07:51She's speaking from experience, by the way.
07:53Her and I got kicked out of a yacht club once.
07:56When I used to live with her, we would go out drinking.
07:58And we'd get like wasted.
07:59We'd do all these things together.
08:00Like go out to dinner and go out.
08:01Because she's like my favorite person.
08:02So we'd always do.
08:03And she's so fun to be around.
08:05All her grandma friends, they all do like all these trips all the time.
08:08And I'm always involved in them.
08:09I'm just like, all right.
08:10When you saw that she had edits on TikTok, are you proud?
08:13I knew it though.
08:14Wait, after the things she was saying that day, I told you guys.
08:16I was like, she's going to be so direct.
08:18Like when I saw the edits, she had a LeBron edit too.
08:21Did you see it?
08:21I see.
08:23She's like Carl.
08:24And it was like LeBron.
08:26Like it was like crazy edits.
08:28She's also a big fan of Carl's, isn't she?
08:30She is.
08:30I'm a big fan of her, yeah.
08:32She's a big Carl fan.
08:33I've never seen her hug someone like that.
08:35I was like, all right, grandma.
08:36But relax.
08:37She knew, she's like, oh, Carl.
08:38I was like, hey, what's up, grandma?
08:44Just like Bryce, not really, can't compete with grams.
08:47But my other lady in my life is my cat Lola.
08:50She is definitely one of my favorite, I was going to say people in the world, being in the world.
08:56She is my cat.
08:57Yes, she lives with the family and we all love her.
09:00But she's actually, she was actually my 11th birthday present.
09:03So I've actually had her for, oh God, my math's terrible.
09:06I'm 26, 15 years.
09:07She's been in the family for a while, but she is mine.
09:10You've heard it here first.
09:11But yeah, so we've got some cat toys here.
09:14Bryce, do you want to do some role playing?
09:16Yeah.
09:17That's all you do.
09:17You just get it like this and she just goes crazy for it.
09:20Yeah, it's like, oh, and then.
09:21Looks like the thing Jen used for the tickle challenge.
09:23It did.
09:23You know, that's what I thought when I saw it, you know.
09:25Just many videos and pictures of me and my cat, just there chilling.
09:30We spoon.
09:32She's there lying on me, on my face.
09:35Yeah.
09:35See, she's very loving and she's actually a very beautiful tabby cat.
09:39So she's definitely a very big part of my life.
09:42I miss her a lot.
09:43That was actually the hardest thing coming here to the States now,
09:46because I just know I'm not going to see her for a while.
09:48And she's old as well.
09:49Cata has not met the cat, but I FaceTimed her when I was in England
09:52and I was showing her and she thinks she's very cute.
09:54And if she didn't, she'd be gone.
10:02So when I got kicked out of the villa, there's like a sense of relief.
10:05It was like I went in, I kind of did what I needed to do and like made a name
10:08for myself.
10:09I got out kind of unscathed.
10:11But yeah, of course, like I was building this connection with Anaya,
10:13but like she made her choice and like, there's nothing I can do about it.
10:16Little did I know America voted me back in.
10:19So like, that was really cool to be able to come back and just like get a second shot,
10:23you know, and I kind of saw it more as like, over time.
10:26You know, it's like, I get it.
10:28I get to go, you know.
10:33I don't even remember really saying that because it was just such an emotional time.
10:37And it like, there's just emotions are flowing.
10:39A lot of times you don't even remember it, like what you were saying.
10:41And I'm also like, so surprised it picked up on it.
10:44Because I was like, whispering that shit, you know.
10:46And like, I'm glad like that they caught it.
10:49Because I think ultimately, like America like saw something in that.
10:52And like, you don't really know the rules when you're up there.
10:54I wanted to like go up there and like come for her.
10:56But it's like, we were just kind of there at the fire pit.
10:59And, you know, we kind of lack some free will sometimes.
11:02Yeah.
11:03Another big item from Love Island was the book that was gifted to us.
11:06Beautiful, hand painted, amazing book.
11:08And I let Anaya, you know, kind of take that book.
11:12There's a bunch of blank pages in the front.
11:15And then there's some in the back.
11:16And she's actually like taking it and using it as a scrapbook now.
11:19So she's taking all like the photo booth pictures.
11:23And she's like pasting them in there.
11:24Oh, that's so sweet.
11:25And she's like writing in there.
11:27And you know, like postcards and stuff.
11:28And like, she's like the start of the story.
11:30And then the story.
11:31And then hopefully there's stuff we can add.
11:33Yeah, this is like a never ending.
11:35Yeah, that's beautiful.
11:39I haven't touched a weight in a good month.
11:42But like, it's almost the weight area was almost like a boys therapy session.
11:46Like you'd be there pumping the weights and just talking about like what was going on in the day.
11:51So it was definitely an important part of like the villa for sure.
11:54But for me, it was always confusing because everything's in pounds.
11:56And obviously, I'm used to kilograms.
11:58So I'd always be like, what's this?
11:59Like, what am I lifting right now?
12:00This guy was always in the gym.
12:02No, I try to be.
12:03You're the most consistent for sure.
12:05If you were looking for Carl, just look for the gym.
12:06And he's just there.
12:07No, but a lot of times you'd like be working out and you'd like just break a sweat.
12:11And they'd be like, hey, you know, now's the perfect time to go pull an eye for a chat.
12:14I'm like, I'm so sweaty and smelly right now.
12:18You're the pheromones.
12:19You're the pheromones.
12:20For sure.
12:20I don't know.
12:21Lifting is more than just like exercising for me.
12:23It is a form of therapy, like kind of like you were saying.
12:25It's like me, myself, like I think I am more of like an introverted person.
12:29So I need that time alone to kind of just like recalibrate and just like process my emotions.
12:34And the gym is the place where I like to do that.
12:36Like throughout your day, you do have to like kind of figure out, okay, I'm going to do this at
12:39this time.
12:40You know, I got to make breakfast and then, you know, run over to the gym, you know, get a
12:44quick lift in.
12:46Sometimes this is the best outlet.
12:48You know what I mean?
12:48Like these paired with these guys is just like anything, you know, it's a good combination.
12:55Yeah, yeah, it is.
12:56It really is.
12:59Thank you guys so much for watching.
13:01I hope you learned a little something about all of us and we'll see you on the reunion streaming on
13:06Peacock.
13:07August 31st, baby.
13:09Nice.
13:09Yeah.
