11:27and in fact it's gone in off Colby Donovan,
11:31it's an own goal off Donovan, and 2-1 at Celtic Park.
11:40Oxlade-Chamberlain bustling his way through a couple of challenges as well.

11:57Scales, and there was the chance to kill the game off for Yang,
12:04just couldn't get over the top of the header,
12:07it was a great ball in from Scales, so inviting.
12:12And there would surely have been no way back for Falkirk had that gone in.
12:21Falkirk need the ball in the box, pretty sharpish.
12:28Celtic hold on to all three points,
12:30looked very comfortable for them at times,
12:34but it got a little bit uncomfortable when Donovan put through his own goal.
12:41But they get there in the end, a win's a win,
12:44and Celtic have got it.
12:45Nine points out of nine to start the Premiership season.
12:50Martin, given the demands physically and probably mentally of this week,
12:55was that maybe as much as you could have hoped for today?
12:57Yeah, I'm delighted to win the game.
13:01The exertions and the disappointment of Tuesday night,
13:04the 120 minutes and losing it, losing a place in the Champions League,
13:08which would have been fantastic, have to overcome that.
13:11I felt that the number of players who had played a lot of the game on Tuesday night
13:17was starting to flag a little bit in the game.
13:19And it's early season and players are still,
13:22sounds crazy, still trying to get up to speed, but we did fine to it.
13:26Lose a goal, which the last thing you want to do is come to Celtic Park so early,
13:30especially after the midweek game that they had.
13:32You're hoping they're going to get to keep it at bay for a considerable time
13:36and let nerves kick in.
13:37And of course that goes out the window within five minutes or so.
13:41So you've got to hang in the game then, because they get the tails up.
13:44Before we know it, they're flying down the left wing,
13:47ball coming in, which we've got to get to and we don't.
13:49So 2-0 down in the corner made a really good run.
13:53He plays in Jacob, who's shot.
13:56Somehow or other, by hook or by crook, it managed to get in the goal.
14:00So 2-1, we're getting closer to Celtic and a lot of encouragement.
14:07So Celtic make it three wins from three in the Scottish Premiership.
14:11What did you make of your old team's performance today, Scott?
14:13Yeah, for the first half they were really good.
14:14You can see in the second half they got a little bit tired
14:16due to the Champions League game as well,
14:20but overall they deserved to win the game.
14:22Yeah, I think they did.
14:24Camilo Duran, I know you're a big fan of him.
14:26He played centre-forward today because Kasper Hu was injured
14:29and managed to get on the score sheet twice.
14:31Yeah, he's a different player to Duran, to Hu, sorry.
14:34He's willing to run over the top and his pace, he closes down really well.
14:38It's a nice simple ball by Carter Vickers.
14:40A little bit too much on it, but you can see what he's willing to do.
14:43And look, Scott Baines just taking his eyes just off the ball.
14:46That little bit in Duran, he'll probably not get an easier finish.
14:50I know, he had kind of two goals at it there, Scott Baines, didn't he?
14:53He just kind of lost at the first one
14:54and then the second one tries to scoop it back in the box
14:56and before you know it, he's kind of lost possession.
14:58And as John McGlynn said, it's so early in the game,
15:00you don't want to be gifting goals like that up.
15:02No, you want to play, like what John says,
15:04you're playing on the tiredness thing at Celtic as well.
15:06Trying to silence the crowd after going out to the Champions League
15:09and look to gift them a goal that early on in the game.
15:12But take nothing away from Scott.
15:14He's been fantastic for Falkert since going there.
15:16Yeah, well the line's been putting the flag up,
15:18but the referee hadn't blown the whistle by the time the pole went in
15:20and then VAR said it was onside, which he clearly was.
15:23Brilliant for Duran again.
15:24Nice, lovely weighted pass.
15:26I thought Negrin should hit it just maybe a second earlier in that.
15:30And yet again, this is a brilliant flick for Bauer as well,
15:33who, like, brilliant save for Scott Bain
15:35but thought he should probably finish it.
15:37Celtic should have been out of sight in the first half.
15:39Yeah, there was a few good chances, wasn't there?
15:40But then, a little bit of quality here.

15:46and you can see Duran's willingness to get in front of Henderson
15:49is just brilliant.
15:50But it shows you his pace.
15:51He's a little bit like Naida that way.

15:55Then you can see as soon as he goes, look,
15:56a little shift of direction.
15:57A clever run, isn't it?
15:58Yeah. Brilliant ball as well for Kieran.

16:01And look, he's not going to miss that.
16:03I mean, he's already proven to be a really top, top signing for the club.
16:06Scored five goals in the Champions League last year.
16:10Falkirk, I mean, fair play to them.
16:12You know, at 2-0, we're sitting watching it
16:14and you're thinking, well, the game's over.
16:15Celtic will probably go on and win this comfortably.
16:18But they dug in in the second half.
16:20They were brave with the way that they played
16:22and eventually got their goal
16:24and it ended up a wee bit more nervy
16:25than it needed to be for Celtic.
16:26Yeah, it was definitely nervy right then.
16:28But John's teams are very, very good.
16:30And he's always the same philosophy.
16:32Keep playing, but this ball for strain.
16:34Brilliant touch by Ben Parkinson.
16:36I think he should hit the target.
16:37Probably, but the touch was in red.
16:38Little touch.
16:40And yet again, Colby Donovan's went off with his boot.
16:44So Bowers in at the back area.
16:46So if I'm strain, I'm thinking, hit that back area
16:49and the header hits against Carter Vickers.
16:51I can't see if it hits his hand or his chest,
16:52but I wasn't there.
16:53And you can see this ball in the middle of the park.
16:55But Kunis, poor touch.
16:58And he starts mourning at the clouds, which is incredible.
17:01It's a brilliant run.
17:02And from your arm, they probably should finish that, if I'm honest, with his right foot.
17:07But he opts to go with his left foot.
17:10But he gets a little bit lucky with the rebound off Colby Donovan.

17:15He's just reacting, isn't he?
17:16He can't really do too much.
17:17It's very, very hard because it's right at him.
17:19It is.
17:19And he's tried to dive down.
17:20He's made the stop and he's a little bit unfortunate that it's fell off Colby.
17:23Yeah, so they got the win and you can see that Martin O'Neill was relieved with that.
17:27But I mean, how damaging was crashing out of the Champions League?
17:30Not just financially, but for the club in general and to the supporters.
17:34I think for the mood of the camp as well,
17:36because Celtic has been a really, really good place this season
17:38and it's been great to watch Duran coming in
17:41and you can see Bauer coming in there as well and Hu as well.
17:44A little bit of freshness as well, a little bit of quality.
17:46So it's been good to see and to go out to the Champions League
17:49and see the money for the club.
17:51Or in the fashion that they did do as well.
17:52It's not like Celtic to do it that way.
17:54Because you go on, you expect them as soon as they scored that fourth goal,
17:57like just go on and kill the game.
17:59And it got nervy and Negrin obviously giving that ball away
18:02sets the tone for the rest of the game.
18:04I mean, did you see it coming?
18:04I mean, in terms of the performance, when they're 4-0 up in the tie,
18:08like I don't think anybody would have seen a comeback like that.
18:12They're like strong physical.
18:13You've seen the running power as well, especially late on
18:15in the second half of extra time.
18:17They had the running power
18:18and Celtic probably didn't have the subs to come on to change that game.
18:23Talking about the subs and talking about the squad in general,
18:25where do you feel that Celtic still need to strengthen the squad?
18:28I've heard people talking about trying to get in
18:30a kind of Scott Brown type player into the midfield.
18:33Do they need a player with limited ability in the midfield?
18:37Give the ball away to go and win it back.
18:38I'm only joking, but that's been mentioned.
18:41Maybe they don't have enough steel or strength in the middle of the pick.
18:43I think it's more legs.
18:44I think when you go into Europe, I think Engel's running power
18:47is going to be hugely missed.
18:49And a lot of people underestimated how good he is box to box.
18:53And maybe people didn't see the quality of that,
18:56but now you're starting to see it in big games.
18:58But big games, big players, and that's what he was.
19:00Look, I think they need an armoured fielder in there
19:03if Hattati's not going to be back to himself.
19:06So I think they do need an arse.
19:07What about centre-half?
19:07Are you thinking it there at all?
19:08Look, I know Dane Murray's there.
19:10And I'd like to see Dane go on loan and maybe do what Scales done.
19:13Have a season in SPL and go and show what he can really do.
19:16And maybe bring in an arse centre-half as well.
19:19Kartavika's just coming back from injury.
19:21Trusty, didn't have the best game in Europe.
19:23And Scales at this moment in time has been cover for Ciaran playing left-back.
19:28So I feel they're a wee bit light in that area,
19:31but I think they're looking to bring in an arse left-back
19:33and that does cover themselves a little bit more in the centre.
19:36For Falkirk, they've maybe not had the start of the season they want.
19:41Just one point from them opening three games.
19:44It's going to be difficult for them to replicate the success of last season.
19:48Do you feel that?
19:50Yeah, I get that.
19:51But John's teams will play the same way
19:53and they're going to take a little bit of time for the new sign-ins to come in
19:56and see the players that they've lost.
19:58They're huge players and it's hard to replace them.

20:02You lose Barney Stewart, who was fantastic for him.
20:05Calvin Miller went all the way through.
20:06I mean, it's their top players.
20:07It's their key players.
20:08Yeah, he's lost Dylan Tate as well.
20:09So those players that they've lost has a huge impact to that team.
20:14But John will go and find other ones.
20:16He'll find other under-21s from down the road and pick and choose.
20:19And he's got a brilliant understanding of the game down the road.
20:22So I think fall cut this season will be fine.

30:14But when you get the goal, it was fighting.

36:08And I think that will make sure they're safe at the end of the season.
36:13From a Hearts point of view, I've been very impressed with Wouter Franken's start he's made in Scottish football.

47:16You know, professionalism was there, as it always is.
47:20So, yeah, it was very, very pleasing.
47:22We haven't won here for, I think, Sharpie was saying 13 years or something like that.
47:27So, really important to win here today.
47:30And, yeah, we needed it.

47:34Then we conceded a really poor goal from a set piece.
47:37And then the second one, just about maybe inexperience, but we've been punished.

50:40And this is the difference from Kilmarnock playing a diamond to not playing at four in the middle of the

50:47He's brilliant on his weak foot.
50:48I'm probably going to shoot there as well.
50:50Because he had one about 10 minutes just before this and he put it just beyond the post.
50:55And like, I love this.

51:57And like, Wal Ferry, for me, was incredible today from start to finish.
52:02And they will do well to hold on to him.
52:04Well, I mean, there's chat being Celtic are looking for a left back.
52:07Would it make sense to you that he goes to Celtic?
52:10I think if you're looking at Celtic at this moment in time, he's similar to Kieran.
52:15He's powerful.
52:16He wants to drive forward.
52:17Very good cross of the ball.
52:19I think a lot of people naturally think he just wants to go forward all the time.
52:22But he's a very, very good defender.
52:23And that's what Kieran is as well.
52:24So it'd be, I think it'd be a very good move for Celtic if they go and snap him up.
52:29Because there's been a bid for, I think, 1.7 million already.
52:32Yeah.
52:32And he didn't want a goal.
52:33So, look, it's quite a cheap option to go and hopefully get another person that knows the league as well.
52:39He knows the league inside out.
52:41For Kilmarnock, it's been a struggle at the start of the season.
52:43There's no hiding that for Neil and for Dodgy, especially defensively.
52:4713 goals conceded in their three league games.
52:50It's something that they're going to have to address, Neil and Billy.
52:54But what for you is the kind of underlying issue defensively?
52:58Why are they conceding so many goals?
53:01You look at today, the first one, you know, poor marking at a corner.
53:05Second one, a penalty.
53:05But ultimately, they've conceded four.
53:07It could have been more.
53:08Yeah, definitely.
53:09I just think it's very expansive.
53:11And if you've not got the energy they want to sprint back in as well,
53:14because he's asking a lot for the two full backs to go high up the park.
53:17And especially in that diamond as well, because they're out there.
53:20They're willing to go forward.
53:22And then they've got to get their mum back to make sure they're going to defend really, really well,
53:26which is, it's hard for anybody in there.
53:28But I think they have to go and now have a focus on being a little bit more rigid with
53:33that back four
53:34and let one swing at a time and let the other one sit back.
53:37Because it's been, what, 13 goals in three games they've conceded.
53:40At any level, that's not great.
53:43Do you think, is it in his DNA though, Niels and Dawsey's, they want to play this way, attack teams.
53:50But ultimately, do you think they will change it and rein it in?

53:57And everybody wants to play great, attractive football.
54:00He can still change little bits and things.
