A portion of the Binangonan Fish Port in Rizal is submerged in Laguna de Bay on Sunday, Aug. 30, after the lake reached a critical water level amid strong winds and persistent rains from the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” and a low-pressure area.

The Laguna Lake Development Authority said the lake rose to 12.58 meters on Saturday, surpassing its 12.50-meter critical high-water mark. (via John Louie Abrina I MB)
