00:00This was Friday night's Republic Bank CPL match at the Queen's Park Oval, and Barbados
00:05Tridents were put in the bat by the Trinbago Knight Riders.
00:14The left-handed Zachary Carter and Cheyenne Brathwaite put on a partnership of 25 and
00:194.2 overs, but the Knight Riders picked up wickets thereafter, with the dismissal of
00:26Quinton de Kock making it 38 for 2.
00:32Carter was out for a top score of 28, with the parsimonious Usman Tariq sending him back
00:37to the dugout.
00:40Tridents skipper Chris Green was the second-best batter with 27.
00:47But TKR were too good on the Knight, with the frugal Sunil Narain taking 2 for 14.
00:53All-rounder Kyron Pollard, in his 750th T20 game, also picked up 2 wickets.
01:00It was another abject batting display from the Barbados Tridents, who were coming off a
01:04loss in their previous match.
01:06They closed on a modest 127 for 9 from their 20 overs.
01:15When the Trinbago Knight Riders responded, Colin Munro and Sunil Narain gave their side
01:20a good start.
01:25The two left-handers were scoring rapidly in pursuit of a paltry target.
01:32Narain eventually caught up with Munro, overtaking him during their stand of 96 and 9.3 overs.
01:42He brought up his half-century in style, his 4th ever in the CPL.
01:52Munro departed for 37, followed by Narain for 55.
01:58Then it was the turn of captain Nicholas Puran to fall cheaply, with Rivaldo Clark taking
02:03all three catches.
02:09In the end, Pollard with this shot for 2 took TKR to 128 for 3 in the 15th over, which
02:15saw
02:15them winning the match by 7 wickets.
02:18Ven witness of 96 sport.
