00:20Russian drone strikes across Ukraine have killed two people and wounded at least seven damaging homes, warehouses and energy infrastructure.
00:27In Zaporizhia, a drone struck a home improvement hypermarket, wounding four people and setting fire to around 2,000 square
00:34meters of the building.
00:36Beyond Zaporizhia, attacks were reported in Kiev, Sami, Kharkiv and Kherson.
00:41One person was killed and two wounded in the Kiev region, while homes and apartment buildings were damaged.
00:47In Kherson, a Russian drone strike killed a 61-year-old man, hours after authorities urged residents to leave amid
00:54worsening attacks.
00:55The city's combined heat and power plant was also hit by four guided aerial bombs, destroying its remaining heating and
01:03power equipment and leaving it inoperable.
01:06Ukraine's energy company Naftogaz said the damage was critical.
01:10Since July, Russia has dropped around 170 guided bombs on Kherson region, according to local authorities.
01:23Norway has now a new king. Crown Prince Hakan became King Hakan VIII.
01:28He automatically succeeded his father Harald V after the king passed away at 89 on Friday morning.
01:35Hakan's oldest child, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, became heir to the throne.
01:41Hakan is already familiar with the role. The 53-year-old served as regent several times as his father's health
01:48declined.
01:49The new king holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley,
01:54and a Master in Development Studies from the London School of Economics.
01:59Hakan faces the challenge of stabilizing the monarchy and rebuilding the royal family's popularity,
02:05following revelations about his wife's past contacts with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his stepson's rape conviction.
02:14Norway's monarchy dates back to the 9th century.
02:24Rescue teams continue to search for more than 1,400 missing people after flash floods and landslides struck the border
02:31of Nepal and Tibet.
02:33Many of the missing are foreign tourists, including trekkers as well as Hindu pilgrims.
02:39The death toll of the devastating disaster meanwhile continued to rise to nearly 500.

02:46I said she will earn money, earn money, earn money.
02:50I want to earn money, earn money.
02:54I don't like that, dad.
03:06I want to earn money.
03:29The disaster was likely caused by a glacial collapse that triggered ice, debris and water
03:34to come down into the valley.
03:36Fears of more potential floods remain as water is still trapped by piles of debris that
03:41are blocking the valley.
03:43Climate change is causing glaciers to melt worldwide, which is increasing the risk of
03:48glacial lake floods and glacial collapses.
03:55The fifth heatwave reached its peak on Friday, splitting Italy into two, with temperatures
04:00in the center and south and on the islands rising above 40 degrees Celsius, a full 10
04:05degrees above average, and severe thunderstorms expected in the north in the coming hours.
04:11Making matters worse is the humidity, which pushes the perceived temperature at least 5
04:16degrees above the actual reading, as well as scorching nights, dubbed tropical, with temperatures
04:22in many cases close to 30 degrees.
04:24Despite a slight improvement forecast for the coming days, experts have warned that temperatures
04:29will remain well above seasonal norms in September.
04:33Nine cities are on red alert for the heat emergency, where health risks linked to extreme heat and
04:38humidity are significant, even for people not considered vulnerable.
04:42In urban centers including Rome, temperatures have hovered between 39 and 40 degrees Celsius,
04:48but the most critical situation has been recorded in Calabria, with peaks of 44.6 degrees.
04:55Six of those red alert cities are expected to get a brief respite over the weekend, while islands
05:00like Sicily and Sardinia are expected to continue to face peaks of 43 degrees in the coming days.
05:10Due to droughts and water shortages, tons of fish have died at one of Hungary's largest fish farm
05:16complexes, Reti Meier, which covers 800 hectares of water. According to the fisheries owner,
05:22the problem was caused by the Water Authority, withholding water upstream of the lake system for irrigation purposes.
05:54According to Levi, maintaining water levels in this protective environment,
05:58protected wildlife areas should have been a priority.
06:01The Water Management Authority said that water withdrawals by all users had been restricted
06:07due to water shortage even more severe than expected, but that restrictions on fish ponds
06:12were limited to 20%, while water available for irrigation was restricted by 60%.
06:19It added evaporation from the 800 hectare fish ponds represented an irreplaceable loss of
06:24water that dwarfed water consumption for irrigation. Both Levi and the authorities stressed,
06:31it is necessary to examine how water demands can be met amid changing precipitation patterns
06:37and extreme weather conditions.
06:52We have prepared the launch campaign starting with the arrival of the spacecraft, then the fueling,
06:59with propellants that will say that we are okay for the encapsulation, it means integration of the
07:04satellites into the per composite, that is the payload, to be installed on top of the launcher.
07:10And so when we are ready, we have a dedicated meeting which is to say that
07:15all systems will say we are okay for launch.
07:19The main role is to ensure that we are all well prepared for this launch,
07:24and I will also pronounce the actual launch instant.
07:27A long and arduous journey to get to that point, but we believed in ourselves, we stuck true to what
07:34we knew we could do,
07:35the collaboration with all the European partners as well. We have had over 70 plus European companies
07:42involved in this throughout the whole of the MTG development activities.
07:46This is a very emotional moment, we have Arian 62 behind, this has been a development of the battle of
07:54Europe for the guarantee of access to space,
07:57Arian 6, we have a Vega, we will soon have other launchers, Miura 5, Spanish,
08:02and today we see this launch, Arian 62, that will carry a very important charge for Europe,
08:07as it is the satellite MTG, which is for time, for Eumetsat, but also to detect, for example,
08:16fogs, water, like the Dana, I am from Valencia, this satellite is very important and will be a great revolution,
08:23because it is the best satellite for these objectives that exist not only in Europe, but also in the world.
08:28MTG-2 will be the satellite that completes the first constellation,
08:32and this MTG-2 will be looking for every two and a half minutes to Europe,
08:38and what helps us with MTG-2 is changing from instantaneously photos to a movie,
08:45which we can give to the meteorology services, and that helps us to have alerts,
08:50and to give better information to civil protection, protection of goods, and to react better.
08:56We are on the Tukan platform, in the Guayana francesa, where we have seen a historical moment.
09:01From there, to a few kilometers, the Ariane 6 rocket has launched in orbit the new Meteosat
09:07of third generation, which will allow a map of the Earth practically at real time.
09:12This is very important for the prevention of natural disasters,
09:15such as the Dana in Valencia and the forest fires.
09:17Maria Muñoz Morillo, for Euronews, from Guayana francesa.
09:29A von Kleef and Arpels necklace worth several million dollars has been stolen from Vienna's Museum of Applied Arts,
09:35in the latest high-profile European Museum heist. Police said two men bought tickets,
09:41entered the museum, and smashed a glass display case with a hammer before fleeing with the jewelry.
09:46Apparently, they did not wear masks, and did not care about being recorded,
09:50as their faces could be clearly seen on security footage.
09:53The stolen necklace features 200 carats and 673 precious stones.
09:58It was designed for Egypt's former royal family, and was famously worn by Queen Nazli in 1939.
10:05Beyond Vienna, the Tef follows a series of major museum raids across Europe.
10:10Thieves targeted the treasure of Villena in Spain,
10:13while four works by Renaissance master Antonello da Messina were stolen from a museum in Sicily.
10:19The wave of heists follows last year's Louvre burglary in Paris,
10:23where thieves escaped with jewelry valued at around 87.6 million euros.
10:32Two weeks before Celine Dion's first concert in Paris,
10:35Dion Mania has reached a new peak in the city.
10:37In front of the Royal Monceau Luxury Hotel, where she will be staying for the next two months,
10:42a crowd gathered to welcome the singer.
10:45On Friday, August 28, Celine Dion arrived in Paris to begin rehearsals for her historic concert series.
10:51Her schedule is packed with 16 concerts scheduled between September 12 and October 17.
10:57In total, the singer has scheduled three concerts per week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
11:02Each will draw more than 30,000 spectators, and all have been sold out for months.
11:07Ten additional concerts were added in May 2027.
11:11Aside from a performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Celine hasn't sung in France for nearly 10 years.
11:18Yet the love story between Celine Dion and France is enduring.
11:23In total, 15 of her 27 studio albums have been recorded in French.
11:27It's therefore no surprise that the singer chose Paris for her grand return to the stage.
11:33For six years, Celine took a break from performing for health reasons.
11:37The star has difficulty singing due to stiff person syndrome, from which she suffers.
11:42On Monday, Train begins.
11:43Paris.
