01:31A popular tourist beach was forced to evacuate after the devices were noticed by nearby employees in the early hours
01:38of Thursday.
01:39This comes just a few days after Romanian army drivers destroyed two drones drifting near a gas project on Tuesday.
01:48Alerts began shortly after midnight in Tulca when security systems detected several drones approaching Romanian national airspace.
01:56Residents received the royal alert messages and several hours later a large fragment of what appears to be a drone
02:05was discovered into the sea in Constanza close to Costinesce Beach.
02:11The beach is a storm here and it's possible that the storm brought the fragment there.
02:18The area was immediately secured and tourists were evacuated from the beach as authorities began their investigation.
02:27We are therefore seeing an increasing number of incidents involving drones entering Romanian airspace,
02:35while fragments and, in some cases, entire naval or aerial drones are reaching areas close to the Romanian coastline.
02:45The situation is particularly sensitive now because it's the summer season and a lot of tourists are staying in the
02:56seaside resorts.

03:05A Russian drone strike on a passenger train in Ukraine's Odessa region on Thursday killed two people.
03:11The victims of the attack were two crew members, the driver and an assistant.
03:15None of the passengers were harmed.
03:18In a post on ex-Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said hundreds of people were on board the train,
03:24accusing Russia of targeting the locomotive which it would have known was carrying only civilians.
03:30It is not the first time Russia has targeted a passenger train as Moscow ramped up its attacks on Ukraine's
03:36civilian and critical infrastructure in recent months.
03:40A recent report by the United Nations revealed civilian deaths in Ukraine reached a record high in July, the monthly
03:47highest since May 2022.
03:50The report found at least 437 civilians were killed that month, a 30% increase compared to June and a
03:5870% increase compared to July the year before.
04:02Ukraine, on its end, has also ramped up its campaign against Russia's critical and military infrastructure in recent months.

05:55several tourist guides wander on the front line during heatwaves and they face the consequences.
06:00Last summer, a 56-year-old guide died after collapsing while leading a visit of the Colosseum in Rome in
06:06scorching heat.
06:20The French guide says while self-employed tourists may ask their customers to cancel or postpone the visit because of
06:26the heat, it is often not an option for guides working for intermediaries since the visits are sometimes booked well
06:33in advance.
06:34The most part of the time, we work for an agency, a tour operator, a cruise ship, it can be
06:38very varied, as I said before.
06:40And now, it's them who choose, very clearly, and the most part of the time, it's not annulé, but it

06:46Instead of canceling a visit, some of his colleagues have, for instance, asked their employers to turn a bike tour

07:20In Greece, a lot of museums and open-air sites open very early in the morning, and they remain open
07:29until 8, 9 o'clock in the evening, so people can visit at times which are more comfortable rather than
07:39in the midday sun.
07:42Demis also encourages museums and sites to build covers for groups to wait in the shade while curing to enter
07:48or when stopping for explanations.
07:50Other solutions include distributing water bottles, increasing the number of public water fountains, and installing misters to cool visitors down.
07:58While heat waves are set to become more intense and more frequent due to climate change, visitors could also favour
08:04a trip in May or September rather than at the height of summer.
08:12At least one person was killed and several others injured following an explosion at the Dutch port of Rotterdam on
08:18Thursday.
08:19The explosion happened at a refinery and fuel terminal where local media said a maintenance team had been working on
08:25a section of pipes there.
08:27Emergency services reported a power failure at the port and said that a transformer had caught fire under unexplained circumstances.
08:35There was around half twelve an explosion here at a petroleum company.
08:41Unfortunately, there were several injuries and one person died.
