00:18When you talk about all the young guys that played last year,

00:25When you talk about, for all the players, it was year one in the system.
00:30So you saw them kind of develop along the way as they got more comfortable,
00:35as the coaches got a better understanding for what they had.
00:39So from that standpoint, I think they're better.
00:43I think if you ask a question like that,
00:47you probably got to at least acknowledge the cap situation that the team was in, right?
00:54Knowing that they probably weren't going to be able to be quite as aggressive in free agency
01:02as the Bears have led fans to expect annually by their actions most years.
01:09So, I mean, I think it looks better if you consider those factors.

01:25Well, I think in this third round, you had an opportunity,
01:28or when you have two second-round picks,
01:30and you go into the draft without needing a defensive tackle on a defensive end,
01:34and you end the draft needing a defensive tackle on a defensive end,
01:37that's where I think that there's a problem and a hole there
01:41that you still haven't really addressed.
01:46So when you have the loss of guys who created takeaways and turnovers,
01:49you need to do something to your defense to make it different,
01:51and I'm not sure that they have addressed it fully.

01:57I mean, your takeaway guys are Nashawn Wright and Tremaine Edmonds.
02:05And Bayard.
02:08Yeah, I think the safety combination of Bryant and Tiemann has a chance to be better.

02:24So, yeah, like they haven't lost a ton.

02:37And they certainly felt like Devin Bush had some takeaway potential
02:44signing him at the linebacker position.
02:46I'm really interested to see Bush once the season gets going because, boy,
02:51did that not work out for him in Pittsburgh when he was first-round pick of the Steelers,
02:56but totally different player when he was with the Cleveland Browns.
