00:05Over the past couple of years, the Hellenic Club has been involved in an ACAP process,
00:10which is ongoing, involving Mr. and Mrs. Kasurian and their experiences of gambling hard.
00:17Over the past few weeks, I've had some constituents raise with me some serious concerns that they
00:22have about an ATM that suddenly appeared across the road from the club.
00:27This is an extremely odd place to have an ATM.
00:31No shops, no restaurants, the garden bed has been carved out.
00:36The appearance of this ATM is actually really concerning because this ATM is not subject
00:42to the same withdrawal limits as ATMs inside the Hellenic Club are.
00:47ACT Labor also has an election commitment to ban ATMs in venues across Canberra.
00:52If that legislation is supported by the ACT Legislative Assembly and passes, then this
00:59ATM will be very conveniently located to the Hellenic Club.
01:07As the Minister for Gambling Reform and an advocate for reducing gambling harm, I have
01:13a lot of questions and concerns and constituents do too about the location of this ATM, which
01:19I will be raising with the Hellenic Club.
