00:00You bring in the big money players with the experience, Thiago Almada with the
00:07responsibility and firing into the back of the net, River off the mark, 1-0 up
00:13in the shootout.
00:20Esprija going down to his left, Almada this minute couldn't keep it out and he
00:29stopped this one, well again he goes the right way but he's beaten by Lovera, 1-1, through
00:36one, tucked away into the corner by Lovera, Angel Correa to make it 2-1, keeper stands
00:54his ground, Correa slots it in and does just that, River keeping their cool, Esprija no
01:02way near it, it's a brilliant penalty even if he had gone the right way, there was no
01:09saving that one to bring them back level for the second time in the shootout, Torres sends
01:14Beltran the wrong way, 2-2, coolly taken, gives Beltran the eyes, rolls it into the opposite
01:30corner, still nothing between the two sides, Antige in the shootout for River and he rolls
01:41it into the bottom corner, little stutter in the run-up that sees Esprija dive the wrong
01:49way, very well executed from Nicolas Otomendi.
02:05So far so good, poor River who now.
02:17And he can, Beltran with the save.
02:23This time goes the right way and this time keeps it out.
02:35Excellent stop to Danai Oliveira and River have their breakthrough.
02:48Tran, Joaquin Freitas looking to push home the advantage for River.
02:54Freitas into the back of the net and River lead 4-2 in the shootout.
03:03Perfect from the spot so far, Esprija has not really got close to any of them.
03:08Again it's straight down the middle.
03:20Hopping along his line shouting to Palacios, Palacios to keep his side in it, Palacios scores.
03:26And does indeed prolong the shootout.
03:344-3 to River.
03:37They score this one.
03:38They're into the quarter-finals.
03:41They've escaped the scare.
03:45And the dream remains alive.
03:48Rafael Santos Borre to seal it.
03:52And he's hit the post.
03:55The chance to win it not taken by Rafael Santos Borre.
04:00Sends the keeper the wrong way but hits the woodwork.
04:09Well again, Esprija is nowhere near it.
04:12He's going in the opposite corner.
04:18Having been sold the dummy by Santos Borre.
04:22And he rolls his effort against the woodwork.
04:25And now Independiente Nunes.
04:28Kept his call in the 81st minute.
04:30Can he do so again here?
04:31He can.
04:32Sends the keeper the wrong way.
04:35Scores to make it 4-4.
04:37And we're into sudden death.
04:46A few lasers in fact.
04:49Out at the Monumental tonight.
04:51River might find themselves in trouble.
04:53As a result of that.
04:56It didn't seem to have had too much impact on Fagundes.
05:00For the second time tonight.
05:01Beating Beltran from the penalty.
05:03Martinez Cuarta.
05:04Over the crossbar.
05:06He's missed.
05:08Ballooned over the top.
05:11My oh my.
05:12How this has turned for River Plate.
05:18Lucas Martinez Cuarta blazes over.
05:22And it's now the visitors with the chance to win it.
05:31What a moment.
05:32Joan Torres up against Beltran.
05:36Save.
05:37Beltran.
05:38The hero once again.
05:41Keeps River alive.
05:49Both teams now with chances to win the tie.
05:53From 12 yards.
05:54Both have failed.
05:59And we are back.
06:00Where we were at the beginning.
06:07The difference between the two keepers in terms of.

06:25Independiente Santa Fe.
06:26Find themselves in a position where they must score.
06:28To stay in the shootout.
06:37And now.
06:41As the seventh penalty taker.
06:45Having to try and keep his side in the sudamericana.
06:48And he does just about sneak that one past Beltran.
06:52Beltran.
06:52Beltran so close to keeping that one out once again.
06:58But instead.
07:00It's 5-5.
07:03Oof.
07:05Finger tips.
07:06That so nearly turn it round the post.
07:11Next up for River.
07:13Save by Asprea.
07:15The legs of the goalkeeper.
07:17For the first time making a save.
07:19Move.
07:21Penalty down the middle.
07:24Asprea diving to his left.
07:25But his legs.
07:27Keeping the ball out.
07:35Suspicion when you look at the replay.
07:38And maybe he'd just.
07:40Come from his line fractionally.
07:43Before Gonzales.
07:45Angulo.
07:46This time.
07:47From 12 yards.
07:48To seal a place in the quarterfinals.
07:52Angulo up against Beltran.

08:16Give River Plate.
08:29Acuna.
08:30Acuna.
08:32Scores for River.

09:02Palacios.
09:03Up against Beltran.
09:04And he scores.
09:07Calmly taken.
09:096-6.
09:10In the shootout.
09:11We go on.
09:19The tenth taker.
09:21We're really at a point now.
09:24Players.
09:24Who wouldn't have expected.
09:26And most likely.
09:29Messer.
09:30Scores.
09:33Keeper again.
09:34Coming from his line.
09:36Those little stuttering steps.
09:37Before the taking of the penalty.
09:39But Messer keeps his cool.
09:42And gives River the advantage again.
09:44The little dummy.
09:49Having its effects.
09:50On Asprea in the goal.
09:52As he sends him the wrong way.
09:56Now.
09:57Once again.
09:58And he does that.
10:00Slides it past Beltran.
10:04Ten penalties deep.
10:08And we go on and on and on.
10:13Seven all.
10:17And now it's the keeper.
10:19Goalkeeper against goalkeeper.
10:21Beltran.
10:22Balloons it over the top of the crossbar.
10:27Well he might be something of an expert in saving penalties.
10:31He's certainly not an expert in taking them.
10:35Losing his footing by the look of things as he takes it.
10:38And skying it.
10:39Way over the top of the.
10:42Asprea.
10:43Asprea.
10:45Scores.
