00:01Breaking news, developing stories, the issues that affect our nation as they happen.
00:06We bring you exclusive interviews with decision makers and in-depth analysis of the issues affecting your life.
00:13From Parliament to the community, from policy to people.
00:16That's what 90 minutes each night gives us.
00:19More time, more context, more of what matters.
01:00However, the Milwaukee Bucks will reportedly retain his draft rights.
01:05Milwaukee acquired Lewis' draft rights in a three-team trade with Orlando and Washington on June 24th.
01:12The 6'8 forward played for the Southeast Melbourne Phoenix of the NBL last season.
01:19Lewis, who turns 22 in November, began playing professionally when he was just 16.
01:26Trinidad and Tobago's boxers had to settle for third spot at the recently concluded Caribbean Schoolboys and Juniors Boxing Championships.
01:34TNT copped three silver medals from the competition.
01:37Guyana took the top spot while St. Lucia finished second.
01:42Sean Ramnath taking on Junior Madre in the 37-kilogram category in the Caribbean Schoolboys and Juniors Boxing Championships in
01:50Guyana.
01:51If it's a place where there's room for talent identification and development, this is the location for it.
01:58Ramnath in red representing TNT.
02:00In round one, he clearly showed his ability to dodge punches, but there was not much given out in return.
02:16He had a better response in the second round as he began to open up and exchange more with his
02:22opponent.
02:22Still, the aggressor was clear.
02:24Back to the corner and Ramnath needed to find something special to steal this contest.
02:30He staggered, but was willing to finish this fight on his feet.
02:34He was not only fighting a feisty opponent, but tiredness as well.
02:38Ramnath would have been signaled.
02:41Ramnath with a few exchanges of his own, but...
02:46Madre coming out the winner while Ramnath had to settle for silver.
02:51TNT's Fabio Jacob and Jehu Vance also took silver in the 57-kilogram youth and junior categories.
02:59Sergio Dufour, TP6 Sport.
03:00All over to the Flair Elite Under-19 Cricket Tournament.
03:04The Trini Youth Falcons secured a vital win in the competition against the Maryhill Tigers at the Avidish Samaru Park
03:12in Chiguanas.
03:13Batting first, the Tigers posted 146 for 9 from their 20 overs.
03:18Sachin Bibaki topscored with 70 of 50 balls.
03:22He would want to forget, though, how he got out.
03:25Meantime, man of the match Sanjay Nandu made 24 of 25 balls and took two wickets as the Falcons reached
03:34125 for 2 in the 16th over.
03:39Switching to test cricket action now.
03:41India have the edge against Sri Lanka following a rain-affected fourth day in Colombo.
03:46The Sri Lankans were bowled out for 290 with Sonal Dinusha getting 103.
03:52Having to follow on, the hosts closed on a 229 for 6, which is a lead of 16 in their
03:59second innings.
04:02Sri Lanka began day four of the Colombo test against India on 265 for 8 with Sonal Dinusha on 85.
04:09Senagali 08.
04:10And he got to his 10 in style, that being his second century at this level.
04:14Well, oh yeah, Sonal Dinusha.
04:19What a fabulous 100.
04:21Debutant Sarans Jain took two wickets, including that of Dinusha for 103.
04:26Sri Lanka were all out for 290.
04:31After trailing by 213 runs, the home side was made to follow on and Bahamid Siraj struck early.
04:40Kamil Mishara and Pasindu Suryabandara then had to rebuild the innings.
04:44Once again into the pads, this time to the left-hander.
04:48Their partnership was worth 58 runs for the second wicket.
04:51Top edge, but in front of square, a couple of bounces for four.
04:55Mishara was out leg before to Ravindra Jadeja for 32.
04:59He thinks that's good, and so does the umpire.
05:02But Suryabandara and new partner Kamindu Mendes put on a stand of 115.
05:07He dragged it from outside the off stump.
05:10It will trickle away to the boundary.
05:12Mendes made a useful 55 for the home team.
05:20Manov Sutar picked up two wickets, including that of Suryabandara for 92.
05:26What a shot to play, wasn't it?
05:28And Niroshan Dikwella was out cheaply, giving Sarans Jain the scalp.
05:33Sri Lanka closed on 229 for six and lead by just 16 runs.
05:40Switching to La Liga, Real Madrid claimed their second consecutive victory with a 4-1 win
05:46over Real Sociedad in their first league match of the season at the Bernabeu.
05:51Mbappe opened the scoring with a superb finish from Valverde's pass,
05:55although their opponents equalized before halftime.
06:00After the break, Real Madrid stepped up the pace and Mbappe struck again,
06:04after combining with Jude Bellingham.
06:08Vinicius Jr. extended the lead following a brilliant individual move from the Englishman,
06:13who provided his second assist of the match before Mbappe completed his hat-trick
06:18from Vini's pass to seal an emphatic victory.
06:33There you go.
06:34Venus and Serena Williams will play doubles together at the U.S. Open in their first Grand Slam outing
06:41as a pair for four years.
06:43The American greats, two-time winners of the two women's doubles title in New York,
06:49were handed a wildcard entry by the United States Tennis Association.
06:54The last time the Williams sisters teamed up at a slam was at the 2022 U.S. Open
06:59in what was Serena's final tournament before she evolved away from tennis.
07:05Serena made her return to the sport in doubles at Queens in June
07:08before being given the final Wimbledon women's singles wildcard.
07:14Well, the Zurich Diamond League is up next, and it's expected to feature a showdown between Julian
07:19Alfred and Melissa Jefferson Wooden. Wooden won the last time they clashed. This time,
07:25Alfred seems up for the challenge.
07:28I think it depends on the day, to be quite honest, and how I feel and if I'm overthinking anything.
07:33But I try to not go into a race thinking of too many things, I think, because that's when it
07:40tends to mess up,
07:40when I start overthinking. And something my coach tries to teach me at practice is just get everything
07:45out your head, just forget it. Even though he gave me an instruction to do, sometimes I still go in
07:49the
07:49blocks thinking about it. It just crumbles. But my, how I go into a race is just, I just try
07:56to not
07:56think about things in my mind and see how it turns out. I think my body is just so used
08:01to doing the
08:02repetitions I practice. So it's kind of used to it. So I try not to go into a race thinking
08:06about
08:07too many things at the exact same time. Jefferson Wooden is also prepared for the race.
08:13I would say for me, it's easier said than done. But it starts with just being in the moment,
08:21whatever moment you're in. Not trying to look too far ahead, not trying to look at, you know,
08:27if you had a race before, like what you could have done better. Like obviously looking at it in that
08:31moment of like what I could do better, but not peeping on that or whatever the case may be,
08:36you know, just trying to be in whatever moment that you are. But then also having the confidence
08:41of knowing that you did everything that you possibly could to get to the moment that you're in right now.
08:49Sixers fans came out in their numbers to get their hands on LeBron James' jerseys,
08:54which went on sale for the first time. Sixers! South Philadelphia is buzzing Tuesday.
09:04While the King hasn't officially rhymed just yet at Xfinity Mobile Arena, his jersey did for the
09:09first time at the Outfitter store. Well worth the wait. Doors opened just before 11 a.m. Joseph
09:15Welcome got in line around 6.30. I'm just trying to debate whether I want the large or the extra
09:20large.
09:21You're not going to buy two and just buy both? I'm thinking about it.
09:25Neil Beck made sure he came out to add a Sixers LeBron James jersey to his vast collection.
09:30There's the LeBron. Throughout the morning, the line outside grew.
09:33At least one fan already had a LeBron jersey wearing it proudly.
09:37I do for here for looking. Other fans like Ross Walters had a plan in place after the jersey purchase.
09:42Jersey, fly to Ohio tomorrow. Wear the jersey tomorrow in Ohio? Correct.
09:47And then several other fans we caught up with were well prepared, bringing a seat and an umbrella.
09:52I think everybody probably here for LeBron jersey and probably Maxie, to be honest with you.
09:57We did find that fan who came out for a jersey other than the Kings.
10:01I actually really came to get Maxie. I'm a huge Maxie fan, but my dad and brothers is all here
10:06for
10:07LeBron James and Jalen Brown. Maxie, Brown James, whatever name is on the back of the jersey,
10:12Sixers fans are eager for tip-off.
10:14Usually Philly, we usually gotta wait to get something nice.
10:16This is like the nicest thing we got in a long time when it comes to sports and stuff.
10:22Talk about precision and the placement. Without further ado, check it out in our Play of the Day.
10:30This Carabao Cup game between Ipswich Town and Leicester City saw a fantastic goal. Here's a look.
10:35In midfield and bursts up towards halfway, then he runs into Humphries and Nunez has gone for goal
10:40from a long way out and it's hit the bar and it's gone in. That is an extraordinary strike for
10:47Marcelino Nunez. When the ball landed in the path of Marcelino Nunez, he chipped it from way outside
10:53with a keeper off his line. Brilliant. It was a game that his team Ipswich Town won by three goals
10:59to one.
10:59But it's that magical strike from Marcelino Nunez which earns him tonight's TV6 Play of the Day.
11:08Feel it for the keeper. There's more news after the break. Will you stay with us?
11:12Thank you, Allah.
11:12Bye-bye.
