In this video, I share my personal journey of why I had to go to Mexico City, a trip that was driven by my passion for Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission grappling. As a practitioner of no-gi and BJJ, I was drawn to the city's vibrant martial arts scene, where I could learn from experienced instructors and train with like-minded individuals. The Mexican ground karate style, also known as jiu jitsu, has gained popularity worldwide, and I was excited to experience it firsthand. My trip was also influenced by the stories of renowned BJJ athletes such as Craig Jones, Nicky Rod, and Nicky Ryan, who have all spoken highly of the city's grappling culture. The ADCC and B-team jiu jitsu community have also played a significant role in promoting the sport, and I was eager to be a part of it, even if only for a short while. Throughout my journey, I had the opportunity to meet and learn from talented grapplers, including Ethan Crelinsten, and gain insights into the world of B-team vlog, B-team leg break, and the B-team podcast. The experience was truly eye-opening, and I hope to share my knowledge and passion for jiu-jitsu with others, just like the B-team quintet has done.
