00:52In the company of some friends, the hero sailed off for the legendary land of Themyscira, home of the Amazons.
01:00On their way, they stopped at the island of Paros, inhabited by the sons of king Minos.
01:05The princes killed two of Heracles' friends, and Heracles in retaliation, killed two of the princes, demanding that two inhabitants
01:14of Paros replace his dead friends.
01:18Minos' grandsons agreed to join the band, and they continued their journey.
01:23After a brief visit to his friend Adlycus, Heracles finally reached Themyscira, where he was well received by Hippolyta.
01:31The queen was undoubtedly impressed by Heracles' famed deeds, that she was willing to hand him the girdle.
01:37Then, Hera, interfered.
01:40The vengeful goddess disguised herself as one of the Amazons, spreading rumors that Heracles had come to capture their queen,
01:47so the Amazons set off to arrest this foe.
01:50Now when Heracles saw them, he believed that it was a plot by Hippolyta, that she never wanted to give
01:56him the girdle, as she promised she would.
01:58So he engaged her in battle, eventually killing her.
02:03Taking the girdle, he managed to escape Themyscira, and returned to Tyrynne's, presenting the magic girdle to Eurystheus.
