The United States Navy has cleared and detonated all mines in international waters of the Strait of Hormuz, according to a social media announcement by US President Donald Trump. A zero-tolerance policy has been declared, with warnings that any vessel attempting to place new mines will be systematically destroyed. Meanwhile, Iran has reaffirmed its refusal to alter its position on the strategic waterway, communicating its conditions to the United States through mediator Asim Munir. Tensions remain high as only two commodity tankers transited the Strait of Hormuz, marking the lowest daily vessel movement recorded since early May.
