00:00It's been an absolutely horrendous few days and everyone's thoughts are with the families of those who've tragically lost their
00:06lives.
00:06It was shock at first and disbelief and I think the communities felt numb really and horror that two men
00:13who were out in the middle of the night doing their jobs
00:15should have been coming home at the end of their shifts to their families, couldn't do so.
00:20A tragedy that has really horrified people in the local area, really upset the community and I think people are
00:26just devastated
00:28and everyone just wanted to come together to share their, to send their love and their sympathies to the families
00:34who are waking up without their loved ones.
00:36We need to understand the situation here.
00:38We've seen 12 further arrests today and I want to thank the police for the hard work and the investigation
00:43they've undertaken,
00:44not just in the last few days but actually in the last few weeks.
00:47We have to come together now as a community to look at the challenges we face here and that's for
00:51the police,
00:52but it's for all the community, it's for all of our partner agencies, it's for us as politicians to come
00:57together
00:57and say what can we do more to help people feel safe and secure in communities like this.
