Enes Kanter Freedom ejected from Sky-Fever game after verbal altercation

Former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom was escorted out of Wintrust Arena during Sunday’s Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game after a heated exchange with Chicago guard Natasha Cloud.

The confrontation happened during a third-quarter timeout while Indiana held an 81-75 lead. Freedom, seated courtside, responded after Cloud appeared to direct comments toward him. Security quickly stepped in and removed him from the arena as fans reacted from the stands.

After being ejected, Freedom took to social media, claiming he was removed for supporting women and criticizing the incident. Earlier in the day, he had already drawn attention by wearing a shirt featuring a definition of “woman” and posting provocative messages during halftime.

Freedom had also faced a hostile reception outside the arena before the game, where security surrounded him as spectators confronted him.

The former NBA player has recently become increasingly outspoken about women’s sports and WNBA policies, even declaring himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA Draft.

The incident added another dramatic moment to a controversial day, while the Fever ultimately defeated the Sky 113-90.
