00:00Philly, when you're looking at two teams, like, say, the Rams and the 49ers,
00:04how much do you look at the fact that those two rosters are old
00:08and that any kind of scenario where you end up getting injured,
00:11like when a Trent Williams gets injured, the offensive tackle for the 49ers,
00:15you mentioned Matthew Stafford.
00:17How much do you play that into projecting?
00:20Because, again, like you're saying, it's not just the fact you've got to hope
00:23for good performance by the players.
00:25Now you're hoping of the war of attrition that these guys are lasting.
00:28You're talking about a 37-, 38-year-old quarterback in Los Angeles with the Rams,
00:33and you're talking about an aging and an often-injured running back in Christian McCaffrey.
00:38How do you plug that in when you're putting an analysis with those two teams,
00:42like the 49ers and Rams?
00:44It's really hard.
00:45And if you look at the 49ers' last couple seasons,
00:47they've been decimated with injuries,
00:48and Shanahan still finds a way to win 11, 12 games, 10 games in the last year.
00:53He came into Philly with seven-point other dogs and, you know, beat the Eagles.
00:56So, coaching matters.
00:58Two great coaches in McVay and Shanahan.
01:00They can fill in the holes as long as the cuts aren't too deep.
01:06Brock Purdy, Matt Jones, I mean, they've got a good backup in case Brock Purdy goes down.
01:10They've got another great offense, you know, in the 49ers.
01:15It's really hard.
01:16You know, you do the best you can.
01:17You look at the nucleus of the team,
01:19and that's what you really worry about, the offensive line, defensive line.
01:22And teams like the Eagles with Lane Johnson, they're so top-heavy if he goes down.
01:26Next thing you know, they're only winning 30% of the games.
01:28Same with the 49ers.
01:29When Trent Williams goes down, they don't win as many games.
01:31So, they're the positions you're really looking at trying to handicap when it comes to injuries.
01:35All the other stuff, you know, they can fill in the gaps.
